Salmon jumps streams

The release went out Monday afternoon from the Vermont Republican Party. (You can read our preview from Saturday's paper here.)

"State Auditor of Accounts Tom Salmon will make an
announcement tomorrow morning regarding the upcoming 2010
election. Tom Salmon is widely regarded by Vermonters
of all political stripes as mainstream and fair leader who always puts
the best interests of the people first. During this difficult econmic
time, it is critical that our elected officials act to put state government
spending on a sustainable course and Auditor Salmon has been a partner
in that effort.

"The Vermont Republican Party will continue to support mainstream,
commonsense leaders who put the people of Vermont ahead of special
interests. We look forward to Auditor Salmon's announcement tomorrow,
Tuesday, September 8th, at 11:00 am at the State House."

Casino in Killington = Mainstream

No wonder the Republicans continue to lose seats. Salmon and the R Party are about as mainstream in Vermont as gay marriage is in Alabama.

Who?

I have decided to be more conservative with my money too. I donated to all of Democrats Tom Salmon's campaigns. Hey Tom can I have my money back?

If he had accomplished anything as auditor, maybe people would take notice, but he hasn't. Couldn't even get the auditor's web site up to date. This guy was weened on the entitlement teat.

Funny how the Democrats aren't pulling what the Republicans did when Jim Jeffords announced his switch (OK, people actually cared about Jeffords, and Salmon is no Jeffords) But, still. The GOP was outraged beyond belief. The Democrats this go-round? Not so much.

Its sad what's happened to the Democratic Party. When are they holding the annual BBQ with the progs?

The situation with the Vermont Democratic Party is very sad.

It's sad what's happened to the Republican party. when are they holding their funeral? Oh never mind I found it on my calendar. November 2, 2010.

Well, it at least expands the size of the Republican bench. It is not healthy to have a one-party state. And, as a Democratic-voting independent, I have to say I am nervous about the new taxes we may see under a Dem governor.

Whatever Joe Sinagra.

wow, Sam, you come off as really immature. Glad I didn't check the box beside your name.

Totally immature.

Like Repubs who had their panties all in a bunch when Jeffords left that party.
