Neighbors to the east

This from AP for those of you interested in the topic in general:

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — NH gov proposes closing a prison, 9 courts, 16 liquor stores, & laying off 300 in new budget.

- Terri Hallenbeck

Comments:
A few less liquor stores on their highways is not a bad idea.

typical nanny state mentality. take away people's booze because you think that they can't handle a drink or two while they are driving.

focus on you own damned driving. Don't worry about what I'm doing.

I don't want you to kill me or someone else while you imbibe.

and I don't want you liberals telling me what I can and can't do all the time.

Driving while drinking is illegal in every state as far as I know.

No one told you what to do. The comment referred to the number of state stores on the highways in NH.

What ever you say Coop. Only time you hide your drinking is when you don't want to share with yer woman the town bike.

Christ God, when will the libs quit already? It's my car and my life and I'll do what I want with it.

If you can't handle a drink, don't take it. But leave me alone.

Kudos to Sen Judd Glenn for telling Obama to "stick it".
We need more neighbors like him for seeing through the phony Obama and his stimulus package.

Clever try, nitwit - however I am not the "Bubba" on the recent posts about drunk driving.

The "real" Bubba.

NEK, who the hell is "Sen. Judd Glenn" ????

You are so ignorant, you don't even know the names of the people in the news!

So I guess its not just Vermont that has a bigger government

Things are bad and we all hve to pitch in.

We do have to pitch in and stop blaming everyone else.

Yeah, like blaming all our problems on businesses and people who earn just a little more money than we do.

Or in jw's case, any money at all.

Or blaming it on people who have less and therefore in our are less.

in our view are less.

I think we need to have better leaders than Smith and Shunmlin.

We can do better.

Smith hasn't been given a fair shake yet. Give him a chance.

Shumlin, on the other hand, has been around a while and has shown himself seriously wanting.

Ya mean, at some point Shumlin will try to throw Smith under the bus, like he did with Gaye?

Of course he will.

SHumlin would actually make for a better governor than Douglas.

Douglas is weak, lacks vision, lacks leadership, and has become a very partisan political animal - most of the real partisanship in the statehouse starts with Douglas (and Freed) in 2003!

Shumlin has some serious ethical baggage, and a big mouth to boot.

He is "slick," and it's all about Shumlin.

I stopped believing anything he said a long time ago.

Shumlin would sell out his best friend - there is nothing about him that would make him a good governor with vision!

Not a good friend
not a good governor

He is your best friend when he needs you.

Get some real leadership in Vermont.
