That funeral home lure

Not many people would use the terms "funeral home" and "lure" in the same sentence, but Duane Marsh would.

The president of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce has accepted a new job as executive director of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association. Marsh, who has been with the Vermont Chamber since September of 2003, will begin his new position in early January, the news release says, then comes the quote:
“As a former funeral director, with family still in the business in Michigan,
the lure of renewing the funeral service connection made this position highly
desirable,” Marsh said.

Rick Milliken, chairman of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, called Marsh a tireless worker who has built a great team of professionals.
Milliken said he is working with the Vermont Chamber leadership to create a transition team.

Marsh cited these accomplishments as highlights in his five years: The Vermont Chamber’s ability and willingness to challenge the status quo, protecting and promoting a strong business environment in Vermont, and establishing a real-time voting record for state legislators.

Comments:
Well, Terri, if the chamber says it there's no need to check it out.

Just keep regurgitating' those gop/chamber pot talking points.

So, Doogie and the gops have made it official, they won't be happy until Vermont is six feet under and pushin' daisies.

There's a shock.

Marsh has been the Ex. Dir. of the largest funeral home in Vermont - The Vermont Chamber of Commerce. If it is not dead this group will certainly kill it soon. They are great at picking apart the bones and clueless about building a constructive organization that strives to make Vermont a better place for all.

They became a very partisan organization under Chris Barbieri, and have not changed a whole lot.

Many of the committees in the legislature allow them and their ally AIV to speak their peace and let them go.

They are considered irrelevant by many legislators - unlike the Lake Chamber which is non-partisan and works with legislators on both sides of the aisle.

The lines between the GOP, Gov Douglas, Rob Roper, and the Vt Chamber are very blurry and very close.

The Vermont Chamber has zero political clout and less abilty to provide assistance to Vermont businesses. Any Vermont business that pays dues to the state chamber might as well pour it down a hole in the ground.

"The lines between the GOP, Gov Douglas, Rob Roper, and the Vt Chamber are very blurry and very close."

The lines between Symington and the VTNEA apparently do not exist at all.

She came down from the Speaker's podium and voted enthusiastically for the two-vote school budget law, and then the NEA came to "visit" her and she immediately held a vote to kill the law.

And I don't think her relationship with VPIRG was any different. VPIRG practically ran the House for the last 2 years.

So one side is close to the VT Chamber, and the other side is completely in the pocket of the VTNEA and VPIRG.

So your point is?

""The lines between the GOP, Gov Douglas, Rob Roper, and the Vt Chamber are very blurry and very close.""

"The lines between Symington and the VTNEA apparently do not exist at all."

"Apparently", eh, little fraudulent fella.

In other words, you're still dumb, you're still scum and ya got bupkis.

"She came down from the Speaker's podium and voted enthusiastically for the two-vote school budget law, and then the NEA came to "visit" her and she immediately held a vote to kill the law."

Well, apart from the fact that it's an incredibly brain-dead idea of dubious constitutionality, what's your ignorant anonymous ass's point, little fella.

"And I don't think her relationship with VPIRG was any different. VPIRG practically ran the House for the last 2 years."

Wow. They "practically" ran the house, eh? In other words, they didn't and you've got bupkis.

Thanks for clearin' that up, little factose-intolerant fella.

So, you "don't think", eh?

Say it ain't so, schmo.

So one side is close to the VT Chamber, and the other side is completely in the pocket of the VTNEA and VPIRG.

Ah, so one side is "completely in the pocket of VTNEA and VPIRG" while the gops and the chamber are merely "close", eh?

Nice try, nitwit. Ya better hope there's never a paternity suit, schmuck.

With their inane, infantile "ideas" and the asinine analysis of the lunatic-fringe likes of your ignorant anonymous ass, little fella, the chamber potheads will be payin' child support for centuries.

Always a pleasure.

"Well, apart from the fact that it's an incredibly brain-dead idea of dubious constitutionality"

Then why did Madam Speaker vote for this "incredibly brain dead" idea in the first place, schmuck?

I still not understand the difference between them.Still confused..
