Comments:
Meanwhile, the other two candidates will be doing what they do best --- nothing.

Transportation paid for by the taxpayers of the state of Vermont.

I seem to remember Dean traveling around the country on our dime.

What to hell, is Tim Corcoran tieing himself up in a red ribbon for Douglas to cut???? Weird, or maybe just kinky!

Democrats are like rats on a sinking ship.

The other two candidates already did that. Pollina explained pretty well why we need to throw Doesless out of office. Six years of paying for this man to accomplish nothing. He's bled us long enough.

Just where has Douglas "bled us"? What Mother Goose fairy tale have you been reading- a page out of Coop's reading list? Douglas knows how to use band aids and he has kept the dems from increasing taxes every year.
If you want to see bleeding- vote for Polina or Symington and Obama. You will require a tourniquet.

Such as? Gee, bupkis. I'm shocked.

"...Douglas knows how to use band aids and he has kept the dems from increasing taxes every year."

Evidence? I'm shocked.

In other words, you're dumb, you're scum and ya got bupkis.

Thanks for clearin' that up, nekkie boy.

Always a pleasure.

"I seem to remember Dean traveling around the country on our dime."

Really? Do you seem to remember him doing it as Lite Gov, little factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest, nameless-nitwit fella?

Does your ignorant anonymous ass recall him illegally and shamelessly using nonpartisan VT National Guard Concerts/Functions as opportunities for partisan fundraisers, little fella?

That's what I thought.

You're dumb, you're scum and ya got bupkis, bozo.

Take it where the climate suits your sheet.
Dismissed.

6:15 p.m. - Election Day

Continue to ignore extremely pressing Vermont issues in lieu of promoting myself to gullible Vermont electorate. Hell, they'll give me my $150,000 regardless--and pay for me and my team to drive all over the state and eat whatever we want. What a deal! While I'm at it, I'll get to distance myself from Bush, who I acted as campaign manager for twice, and I'll get to pimp for my new boy McCain, who is four more years of Bush. Woo hoo!

Republicans are like rats on a sinking ship.

I love it how this kind of nonsense/repeat the press release gibberish is considered political coverage in Vermont. Oh please, tell me what he's going to be eating at each stop? Or, better yet, stop this silliness and start reporting. Are these, for example, considered vacation days for Douglas?

Yeah. And did Jason Gibbs get a 7.5% raise? Inquiring minds want to know.

Someone wrote a letter to the Times Argus today correcting Douglas that it wasn't him that got an increase in weatherization stimulus. It was actually the legislature. Apparently, but not surprisingly, Douglas is taking credit for the stilmulus on the campaign trail. The real news comes from the letters to the editor page. The Vermont press is clueless most of the time. Lord forbid they would write a story about Douglas blatently lying to the public.

"Republicans are like rats on a sinking ship."

No, given their Tennessee Taliban base's stance on evolution, they're not that evolved.

That has to wait for their heavenly reward.

Yeah, take credit now for what you vetoed a year or two ago.

Such is the jimi douglas experience.

"The real news comes from the letters to the editor page. The Vermont press is clueless most of the time. Lord forbid they would write a story about Douglas blatently lying to the public."

So much for the so-called liberal media.

Reading the Times Argus is like reading an insert from the Daily Kos. The legislature had to approve the stimulus package so that is how they are taking credit? Nice try democrats!

You are such a moron NEK. It wasn't a TA story, it was a letter to the editor. The paper had nothing to do with the content, other than publishing it. BTW, if you know so much about the Daily Kos's content, are we to assume you read it on a regular basis? I'm guessing your daily rag is the Caledonian Record, a.k.a. the American Spectator.

NEK is wrong about his facts on the actual issue as well (not a shock).

Here's the letter:

At a recent press conference presenting his new Fuel and Food Partnership, Gov. Douglas announced his intention to "release an additional $1 million into the traditional weatherization program." Excellent news! What the governor did not mention, however, was that this very same $1 million increase in weatherization had already been appropriated by the Legislature only weeks ago as part of its fiscal year 2009 budget bill.

Gov. Douglas's original fiscal year '09 budget proposal had no increase for weatherization. The Legislature saw the need for expanded services and provided for a $500,000 expansion of weatherization services in the fiscal year '09 budget, and then they added another $500,000 to the weatherization program as part of their economic recovery revisions to Douglas's stimulus package.

As part of the energy bill, S.209, the Legislature also increased weatherization eligibility to include households at or below 60 percent of area median income and revised weatherization policies to improve service to multifamily rental properties — homes to so many low-income Vermonters who struggle to pay higher and higher heating bills.

These, and other policy changes passed by the Legislature this year, allow Vermont's weatherization program to provide better service to more Vermonters who are in need. With heating oil nearing $5 a gallon, we can thank our legislative leadership for pushing through important changes that bring our services to more Vermonters who need them.

So much nekwit nonsense, so little timw.

NEK....

"Reading the Times Argus is like reading an insert from the Daily Kos."

Ya mean they confine themselves to the facts? I see your point, nekkie boy. Reality is not a good look for you.

Whenever and wherever reporters confine themselves to the facts and the evidence, gops are toast.

"The legislature had to approve the stimulus package so that is how they are taking credit? Nice try democrats!"

Is it your your ignorant, ill-informed ass's clueless-cretin contention that the Legislature simply rubber-stamped doogie's alleged stimulus package and there was no negotiation with the Legislature at all, little factually-challenged fella?

Nice try, nekwit.

Always a pleasure.

The Weatherization program is necessary and the state needs to fund as much as possible into this program. Kudos to the Governor and to ANY legislator who endorses this program.
Our seniors will have a tough winter.
I stand by my Times Argus comment- I see similar letters to both TA and Daily Kos. I read both as well as the Caledonia and BFP but not American Spectator.
Coop- enjoy your kool aid!- or is it Kool Aide?

"The Weatherization program is necessary and the state needs to fund as much as possible into this program."

Yeah, that must be why your boy doogie cut and vetoed it in the past, putz.

Evidently, he was against it before he was for it. If only he'd been Governor for the better part of the past six years. With his visionary leadership at the helm, we might have avoided the mess or current Governor has us in.

So, your ignorant, lyin'-slime ass wants to fund it "as much as possible", eh, nekkie boy? Gee, ya can drive an even bigger truck through that then ya can through the Enron Loophole the gop-scum responsible for it refuse to do away with that's largely responsible for the mess we're in in the first place, nekwit.

No sale, schmuck.

"Kudos to the Governor and to ANY legislator who endorses this program."

Ya mean the ones who supported it when doogie opposed it in the past or just the ones who support it now, nekwit?

"Our seniors will have a tough winter."

Well, thanks to gop-scum policies on the Federal and State Level, you're probably right.

"I stand by my Times Argus comment- I see similar letters to both TA and Daily Kos. I read both as well as the Caledonia and BFP but not American Spectator."

Ah, so since you've "seen allegedly 'similar' letters in both the TA and Kos, they're the same, eh?

I'll bear that in mind next time one of your coalition of the clueless-cretin comrades takes me to task for making gross generalizations and assigning guilt by association. It's certainly a lot easier than googling up real evidence. Thanks for the time-saving tip, nekkie boy.

Thanks, as always, for that factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest, utterly-psychotic, ignorant-trash perspective.

Clearly, you have your finger on the pulse on the ignorant-trash community and, since Bubba's apparently found his ignorant ass a tar pit to fall into, indy is at least as demented as you and no one else has the sense or the stones to come up with a screen name to attach to their dimwitted, delusional dreck, the coalition of the clueless cretin community could have no better spokesman than your ignorant ass.

Indubitably, your factually-challenged, lunatic-fringe credentials are beyond reproach and I'm sure you'll be very happy in your new post.

Now, by all means, do spew the gop goo that you spew so well.

Always a pleasure.

Given the fact that Kos is a Blog, nekkie boy, what exactly is an insert from an on-line publication and how does one go about reading it?

Do tell, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

Jim Douglas is such a lightweight!
He lacks vision, leadership, and honesty!

He won't really face up to problems in VT unless it favors his re-election.

His solution to everything, like his buddy in the White House, is to cut taxes, cut staff (except for his own), and privatize - even if it costs us more!

Jim Douglas really personifies the nickname "Doesless"!!

Spoken like a true bureaucrat.
I cannot believe the shallow comments by most anonymous bloggers-
you have such hate for Douglas and Dubie and you are critical of every program he initiates; BUT, none of you offer suggestions to counter his programs other than to give, give and give.
Have some substance- including Coopy.

So much nekwit nonsense, so little time.

Do spew the gop goo that you spew so well

NEK...

"Spoken like a true bureaucrat.
I cannot believe the shallow comments by most anonymous bloggers-you have such hate for Douglas and Dubie and you are critical of every program he initiates;...."

In other words, you want a Dem Legislature to rubber-stamp whatever delusional dreck doogie doles out to them with no questions asked irrespective of the fact that he had Walter Freed as Speaker for his first term and the people of Vermont voted in a Democratic Majority that's increased over doogie's second and third terms because they want a Democratic Legislature to keep an eye on the schmuck.

Nice try, nekwit. No sale.

Like the jimi douglas experience, your ignorant, ill-informed ass better get some new gop-goo to spew, nekkie boy.

Doogie's had his shot. Vermont's gotten worse with oatmeal man at the helm. All he does is propose stuff he vetoed two years ago.

Stick a fork in the schmuck. He's done.

"..BUT, none of you offer suggestions to counter his
programs other than to give, give and give. Have some substance- including Coopy."

Losin' the malignant tumor that is the doogie/dubie debacle responsible for this fix in the first place would be a step in the right direction.

You can't arrest the cancer and get healthy without cuttin' out the tumor that's the root cause of the disease in the first place, little fella.

On both the Federal and State Level, invariably, gop scum are responsible for the problem. Losin' that gop scum is a prerequisite for recovery.

Substance, eh? That's a good one comin' from the factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest gop-slop spewin' likes of your ignorant ass, nekkie boy.

Neither you or your coalition of the clueless-cretin comrades haven't had a case or a clue since ya got here, schmuck.

Always a place.

Need I say anymore- you just proved my point Coop- or is it Mr. Coop?

Even Capt. America and Bubba have abandoned NEK. They don't like being associated with a lesser neandrathal.

NEK said...

"Need I say anymore- you just proved my point Coop- or is it Mr. Coop?"

Well, if your point was that things have deteriorated under doogie's incompetent leadership whose idea of visionary leadership is to propose now what he opposed and vetoed in the past further illustrating that - like your ignorant ass - he's dead weight without a case or a clue, I suppose you're right for change.

You're welcome Always happy to help the hapless and hopeless.

That said, you're too kind, nekkie boy. As much as I'd like to take credit for your complete and utter cluelessness, like your coalition of the clueless comrades, it was abundantly clear to anyone with the capacity to distinguish their ass from their elbow that you were ignorant trash with bupkis long before I got here.

Always a pleasure.

Don't worry you ugly face- I have Coop and you "nameless nitwits" to keep me company.

NEK is hanging in there just fine. It's good to hear a rational voice on the board with a position and the spine to defend it.

Coop brings nothing but insults. He has had the opportunity to show his smarts by sharing his energy plan with us and hasn't. Upon further review, perhaps he has shown us his smarts (actually lack thereof) by being unable to answer such a simple question.

Captain America

PS...I am glad you missed me.

Guess who said..."On both the Federal and State Level, invariably, gop scum are responsible for the problem."

Do you have verifiable facts to support that opinion?

I thought not. Just a continuation of the JWCoop hate-speak express. No critical thought just insults, hatred and personal attacks.

Give us the facts and figures on how the GOP has hurt the State and the Dems have made measurable improvement. Can't? I am not surprised.

Guess who said..."On both the Federal and State Level, invariably, gop

That would be me, little nameless-nitwit fella.

"Do you have verifiable facts to support that opinion?"

Well, given the fact that: gop scum controlled Congress from 1/95-1/07 including the last 8 of Clinton's term in office and all three branches of the Government from 1/01 through 1/07 including the first six of bush's eight year reign of error and have vetoed or blocked every energy-related piece of Legislation the Dems have tried to put through until the Senate voted 97-1 and the House voted 385-25 to force bush to stop adding to the SPR last month, just how could it possibly be anyone else's fault?

That's what I thought.

The Gops have controlled at least one branch of the Federal Government since 1981 when Reagan was sworn in and pulled the plug of tax breaks for all alternative energy R and D. Since 1981, the Dems have controlled the White House and Congress for exactly two years between 1/93-1/95.

So, once again, given those facts, just how and when have the Dems been in a position to block gop scum from implementing their energy plans and policies and when and what Legislation did they use to stop them from doing it?

That's what I thought.

No matter what ya call your ignorant, anonymous ass, crazy lady, you remain dumb, you remain scum and you continue to have bupkis.

Always a pleasure.

Seein' how both nekwit and your next lucid moment will be your first, the position you share and the defense you play looks good and may as well be frozen in amber.

It's not very effective, but it's more interesting than goin' 'round the usual traffic cones.
