Calendar's open

If you were to go to Jim Douglas' calendar on his campaign Web site, you would think this is one quiet campaigner. I'd send you there with a link, but there's really no point. There's nothing on it. Not this month, next month or the one after. All the way up to Nov. 4, it's all clear.

His official gubernatorial calendar has a few things on it. Some would argue that everything he does as governor is directed toward his re-election. But it doesn't include any official out-and-about campaigning.

We are led to believe there's not one single fund-raiser. No house parties. Nothing. There is nothing saying he has to tell us, but what was the point of making a calendar on the Web site?

**********update***********

Douglas campaign manager Dennise Casey said the calendar should look more full in the near future after the campaign updates the whole Web site, but it won't include events such as fund-raisers that aren't open to the public.

Comments:
Douglas has zero on his calendar because he is a big ZERO himself. He's had nothing on his calendar for the past six years.

Vapid Vermonters For Douglas '08

It's too bad no other republican has a chance in hell of obtaining the nomination. I just can't see voting for Douglas let alone the other two, so I'm personally going to write in Tarrant.

Can Tarrant be the Governor of Vermont from his mansion in Florida?

I think he still claims VT residency. Tarrant would easily be a 5 times better governor than Douglas. We need somebody who has some experience at the helm of a decently sized business and who gets things done.

These are the months that James and Dorothy summer on the Vineyard.

Blank is blank!

Too bad they are not public. I hear the CCA fundraiser is worth the price of admission.

Not if he has to win an election first.

Rob Hofmann is being honored at this year's CCA fundraisers. He did more in 2008 to raise CCA shareholder prices then any other single Vermonter. Congratulations Rob. How's that portfolio looking these days?

Well, that just stands to reason, what with his day job as Vermont's Commissioner of Corrections essentially being all a turnkey operation he's had on automatic pilot since day one and all, he's gotta do somethin' to pass the time. If he confined himself to Corrections stuff, he'd be noddin' off by 9:30AM.

There's not enough black coffee in the world to keep the lad awake.
