Bernie's burgers

If you're hungry tomorrow, Sen. Bernie Sanders will host two barbecues to muster support for presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The first is at noon at Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington.

The second at 5 p.m. in the Middlebury Green.

The Republican National Committee obviously has feelers out for every last thing going on around the country because the organization weighed in on Sanders' BBQs today, mistakenly placing the events at Sanders' Burlington home:

"Barbeques at the house of a self-described socialist will not convince
voters in Vermont that Barack Obama's plans to ignore our country's vast
resources by continuing to rely on foreign countries is a good way to solve our
energy crisis or that raising taxes on individuals making $42,000 a year will
fix our economy. America deserves a leader who will deliver solutions to
the challenges confronting our nation. John McCain always has put
partisanship aside to serve the best interest of the country, something Barack
Obama, ranked 'most liberal' in the Senate, has demonstrated an unwillingness
and inability to do."

--Blair Latoff, RNC Spokeswoman

Perhaps Gov. Jim Douglas can put on a competing barbecue at his hometown Middlebury green for John McCain and we can see who serves more burgers.

Comments:
McCain. His age isn't just skin deep.

Maybe Bernie will flip a few burgers for Pollina. Funny how Sanders conveniently avoids that little race.

Doogie could always pull a McSame and unwittingly enter Mrs Doogie in a glorified wet t-shirt contest.

Well, at least we don't have Vermont National Guard personnel and material wastin' their time repairin' Vermont's crumbling infrastructure or patrollin' the streets and directin' traffic in Middlebury and Montpelier at Vermont taxpayer expense instead of Mosul and Iraq where they belong.

Well, apart from the fact that he's got bigger fish to fry protectin' Vermont and the rest of the Country from the criminally-incompetent trash likes of bushco and his override-proof gop-slime minority in Congress and he's not affiliated with Pollina or whatever party he's representing today in any way shape or form, just how is he "avoiding that little race", little factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest/nameless-nitwit/ignorant trash with bupkis fella?

That's what I thought.

In other words, you're still dumb, you're still scum and your ignorant anonymous ass has got bupkis.

Thanks for clearin' that up, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

Coop is out of meds again

I wonder if Gaye will be there?

She's probably home assembling her Acme windmill.

Preaching to the converted? What a waste of burgers, Bernie should BBQ in New Hampshire instead.

"Preaching to the converted? What a waste of burgers, Bernie should BBQ in New Hampshire instead."

And why does your ignorant anonymous ass say that, little fella? He doesn't represent NH, he's the Junior Senator from the State of Vermont. It was in all the papers.

Always a pleasure.

Probably, eh? In other words, you're still dumb, you're still scum and your ignorant anonymous ass has definitely still got bupkis.

Thanks for clearin' that up, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

Well, Terri, while this is a story, it's not exactly a shock. If nothing else, give their record of incompetence and unachievement, they've made it abundantly clear that gops at any level are nothing if not mistaken.

Ya gotta give 'em that much.

Douglas excels at slinging bull. Vermonters, in return, buy it.
A vicious cycle.

That may be a good indication that it is you that is out of touch with Vermonters.

Get on board the JD Express.

Excuse me. Barfing up breakfast after reading Sue Allen's puffer on Mike Smith. Tries to humanize him at the end of the piece. Nice try, but anyone who has seen Smith in action knows how Rovian he is. She should have asked him about how his campaign tactics have taken Vermont into the gutter. But then we wouldn't get to enjoy the pithy little tidbits about Mike's "honey-do" list.

Why don't you just stop writing, it would help all of us a lot more. oh yeah get a refill on you meds douche bag

I vote for a 'coop-free' blog. Ten months of his silliness should be enough time for the BFP to have run out of patience with his repeated verbal abuse.

What a delightfully-delusional thing for your ignorant anonymous thing to say, little nameless-nitwit fella.

Always a pleasure.

Or in the alternative, you could opt for something completely different and ditch the delusional dreck, unearth yourself a case and a clue, adopt a defensible position and advance a legitimately compelling argument you can support and substantiate with fact and evidence and pray that I drop dead from the shock, so you and your invisible, ill-informed, nameless-nitwit friends can return the board to it's former "all ignorant anonymous bupkis, all the time" format, make stupid stuff up and attack the likes of Doug Hoffer for never producing any evidence to support his position and failure to prove that he's not me, Chuck Lacy or all of the above.

Hey, it's worth a shot and it's not like you clueless-cretins could do any worse than ya are now.

Alas, sadly for nameless-nitwit nation, my heart's in good shape.

Gee, you sad schmucks can't buy a break. Bummer.

Always a pleasure.

Uh oh. Looks like Mike Smith has been googling addresses again. Retire already!

Gee, what a gutsy thing for your ignorant anonymous ass to post in its customary absence of any or all supporting evidence or relevant factual information to substantiate your latest, lunatic-fringe load of psychotic slop, little fella.

Cowardly and Clueless. Congrats, your ignorant anonymous ass really hit the daily double with that one, deduce bag.

And ya even managed to do it without misspelling anything, too.

That's been a rare feat for you, lately, little fella. There's no doubt that this 40-year drought's been tryin' on ya much of the time.

Still, spineless and senseless..., that's still not a good look for you, schmuck.

You really should make a concerted effort and investigate that Adult Basic Ed thing, little fella. That could give ya leg up on one of your many major areas of concern.

That gutless thing is a goner, though. Stoneless stains like yours ain't gonna wash out no matter what ya call yourself or where ya do it, schmuck.

Bummer.

Always a pleasure.

Thanks Jeff Cooper.
