Dubie's Web site

Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Dubie now has an updated Web site

One of the current features is a poll in which he asks, “Should the next governor grow state government?”

The options respondents can choose between aren’t exactly neutral. Traditionally choices are listed with the affirmative first, but in this poll, the first choice is “No, time for government to make tough decisions.” The second choice is “Yes, let’s grow government and increase spending.”

This is typical of what we'll likely see from the Dubie campaign unless he steps in and controls his campaign managers. Whether Republican, Democrat or Progressive ... this kind of thing is tiresome. Polls and campaign tactics like this treat voters like idiots.

Dubie is a mere puppet with the strings being held by the the ultra conservatives.

Dubie needs to step up and participate in the various forums related to the run for Governor; or he needs to withdraw from the race. One can not be a candidate and do nothing, well at least I hope one can not.

Should our next governor have his or her own functioning brain?

No. I prefer my governor to be like Jim Douglas and only talk in conservative doctrine bullet points without any factual back up.

Yes. Just because it's been seven long years of watching the scarecrow search for his brain.

"I prefer my governor to be like Jim Douglas and only talk in conservative doctrine bullet points without any factual back up...."

Like the Progs are better?

How's that Global Warming story working for you or or or ...

How's that $787B stimulus working for you? Has your job been saved or created?

How's that State Budget crisis working? The D's and P's have had the keys to the VT legislature for how many years now?

And how's that supermajority in the Senate working out? Sure drove health care across the finish line.

And how's that no new middle class tax pledge working out? Suddenly the Big O is agnostic about raising taxes.

C'mon. Throw the bums out!

Captain America

"Dubie is a mere puppet with the strings being held by the the ultra conservatives."

That's supposed to be a joke, right? Like Shappy and Shummy and the Dems in the Legislature AREN'T completely owned, controlled, and told what to do by the state employees union, the state teachers union, and VPIRG?

Dubie is more independent than Shappy and Shummy.

Get a clue.

You got that right.

Brian Dubie is a stand up guy.
