Gov: New company coming to St. Albans

Gov. Jim Douglas plans Wednesday to announce a new manufacturer coming to St. Albans who promises dozens of jobs will be created in the next three years.

The company will take up residence in the former Vestshell building at 800 Industrial Park Road. The announcement is at 2 p.m.

Comments:
Anybody know why the Governor shows up to announce a new company or company expansion - BUT is nowhere to be seen when a company is cutting workers or moving out of state?

Gov Douglas shows concern for workers only when they work for the private sector.

In speaking to the Central VT Chamber, Douglas praised those companies who found ways to KEEP their workers on.

Why is he even making an announcement. Does he actually think he is responsible for them locating their business in Vermont?

No - but Gov Douglas likes to credit for it!

Gov Douglas takes credit when the news is good - and points his finger at anyone else when the news is bad!
