Let's take the $900 billion that Bush wants for bailing out Wall Street and give half of it directly to the States so that they can rebuild roads and bridges. Let's give a quarter of it to college students who go into the field of engineering. Let’s give the other quarter of it in the form of tax incentives and small business loans for businesses that are developing renewable energy sources such as solar and wind.

Give that money back to the American people and their infrastructure.

You aren't being honest with yourself if you think republicans are the only ones funding entitlements.

The fact is that at one end of the spectrum, you have many different people who game the system at the personal level. Some of these are democratic city dwellers who are slackers who go from job to job and handout to handout. Others are rural republicans who never have steady work, who go handout to handout, and who spend half the year hunting and fishing like nobody with a real job can.

On the other end of the spectrum are the democrats and mostly republicans who game the system at an entirely different level. These are the ones who make $10 million/yr even when jobs are lost, stock price is down, assets decline, and their performance is terrible. These are the ones who stuff their pockets with money at all costs and without regard to workers. These are the ones who claim patriotism, yet take American workers and trade them for foreign labor. They fill their pockets and leverage US foreign policy and in doing so, they throw the blood of US soldiers into the face of America. They skim off US companies that were born out of American sweat and investment while selling out the American people. These are the ones who made themselves rich by leaving mere skeletons and who now look for a government handout to put back what they took.

In the middle of the two extremes of people are the rest of us. We're democratic and republican and we're footing the bill.
