Privately involved

Sen. Bernie Sanders won't be coming out for either of the Democratic presidential candidates who face off in Vermont (and some other less important states) tomorrow. He's an independent, he declared, so he won't be stepping into the Democrats' decision, though he will be campaigning heavily for the Democrat in the general election.

He will, however, be voting in the Democratic primary, he said today. "Of course I'm going to vote," he said. Is that not a party event too? Sanders shrugged that off.

Publicly he's not getting involved, but in the privacy of the ballot he is. Wouldn't say which one he'd be voting for. I would say the odds are huge that he is checking off the box next to Obama's name.

Comments:
Who he votes for is his business; he doesn't have to share that anymore than you or I do.

Besides, it is important that he comes down on the side of the winner.

Another sign of the mainstreaming of Bernie Sanders. Not too many years ago, he would have voted in the Liberty Union primary. There will be a Liberty Union ballot available for tomorrow's primary - it has one name on it, Brian Moore, the Socialist Party USA's candidate for President.

You should ask Anthony Pollina which party's primary he's going to be voting in.

Bubba, you have it right. This is classic Bernie. No matter what happens, when the facts play out he can always say he was against it.

Vt'ers don't get it.

How often does Bernie endorse Democrats for any office, little factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest/waste of oxygen fella?

That's what I thought.

Dismissed.

Well, little bigot boy, seein' how he's probably not gonna endorse McCain or the Huckster, that's what we in the fact-based community call a foregone conclusion.

You could look it up.

Oy, what a putz.

Yawn.

Maybe dirty bernie is going to support a real independent like Ralph Nader
