What's Chelsea doing campaigning at UVM? New Jersey held its primary on Super Tuesday.

If Chelsea wants to meet real Vermont students, she should be visiting Castleton, Johnson, Lyndon, or Vermont Tech.

No, reading-challenged nitwit, just that there are more out-of-staters than Vermonters at UVM, and that there are more "Vermont" students at the aforementioned state colleges.

Politicking at college campuses is a waste of time anyway. Statistics show that students may attend rallies, but they don't actually bother to go to the polls. Especially in primaries.

There are far more Vermont students at UVM than at any other campus in Vermont.

Those out of state students you disparage bring huge amounts of money into Vermont - much of which is then spent on wages for Vermonters.

The state aid to UVM barely covers the standard discount to Vermont students. On top of the standard in-state discount UVM gives financial aid to a higher percentage of Vermonters than out of staters (by a good margin). They do all this saddled with a board of trustees laden with state legislators with minimal experience in higher education and minimal ability to raise big money from major donors.
 

I second 8:54AMs comment- which statistics are you reading, 10:52 PM? Apparently outdated ones. The young vote, 18-25 is one of the most sought after in the Democratic primary. Obama has ignited a fever in young Americans, who have been showing up in record numbers to cast votes in this primary. So why is Hillary's daughter campaigning at UVM? She is desperate to get some of those votes away from Obama, obviously. Notice they didn't start targeting the young vote until he pulled ahead? Further proof? Her campaign team started a website targeting young voters, hillaryspeaksforme.com, and tried to make it look like it just "sprung up" from folks in my generation. Yeah right, she obviously underestimates the intelligence of our nation's youth- the site is too polished to be a thrown together compilation of people's home videos.

And, for the record, I was born and raised in Vermont (now live in Washington DC), but I know plenty of instaters who went to UVM.

She's speaking at UVM for the same reason McCain made an appearance in the Chittenden County. It's where the population center is and because it's close to the airport.

She can zip in, reach the most people and zip out. What's the problem? McCain did the same thing. I don't recall you gettin' yourself in one of your lunatic-fringe lathers over his visit, little fraudulent fella.
