Howard's announcement

Rep. Steve Howard's announcement that he will run for lieutenant governor this year cannot be described as flashy or overboard. Here's what he said on Facebook about an hour age:

After much thought and conversations with Vermonters throughout our state, and nearly 12 years of fighting for progressive change, I have decided that in the next couple of months I will formally announce my candidacy for Lt. Governor of Vermont in 2010. Follow me on Twitter www.twitter.com/rephoward to keep updated on our progress and get updates from the campaign.

Meanwhile, Rep. David Zuckerman, P-Burlington, who serves with Howard on the House Ways & Means Committee, tells my colleague Nancy Remsen that he's not running for LG. He's still thinking about running for state Senate in the Democratic primary.

Hi! I just want to alert all Vermont candidates to my new 2010 political issue, and I hope you'll agree with me that we need an emergency amendment to the NEW FEDERAL REGULATIONS TO "TAKE" BALD EAGLES.
This video is online now at CCTV.
First I discuss the new federal regulations and then I stop talking and show you the neighborhood where I have personally seen Bald Eagles three times in 2009,
which is why I am so concerned about motivating all the candidates to support the idea of an emergency amendment which would mean contacting federal officials and telling them how you feel.

The neighborhood I show you
is in Windsor County, where I live 12 miles from where I have seen the Bald Eagles.

Also, even though I don't mention it in the video, I want Native American Indians to know that they really need to read the new federal regulations, which also have specific provisions regarding Native American Indians and Bald Eagle FEATHERS. I give the website in the video on CCTV.

2010 candidate Cris Ericson
Start measuring for drapes, Phil!
The same Stevie Howard that was soundly trounced in the Mayoral race in Rutland running for LG! Good news indeed.
Too bad about Zuckerman hopefully he will run for state senate.
How could this issue have been overlooked? Yikes...Schumlin, Smith, Douglas explain yourselves.
