Passion at the polls

Most years, a reporter who stands outside a polling place to interview voters will get a fair share of people who don't want to talk, don't want to give their name, just want to slip quietly away.

Not this year. Voters yesterday wanted to talk, needed to tell the world how strongly they felt, were perfectly willing to give their names.

They felt strongly about a lot of things. Almost all of them had to do with Barack Obama.

They liked what he said about helping people get a college education. They liked what he said about the U.S.'s role in the world.

They liked him. They liked the hope he talked about.

They liked that he wasn't George Bush. They liked that his running mate wasn't Sarah Palin.

There were so many factors in what made them feel strongly it was hard for most people to articulate exactly what it was that had them jazzed about this election. Their willingness to talk - their need to talk - said it all.

Comments:
It's too bad we're saddled with another two years of doogie/dubie debacle incompetence, but, at least, we have a competent, legitimate President taking Office in January.

It's unfortunate that he inherits a world class catastrophe caused by the clueless cretin in there now, but at least he'll have a legitimate Congress to work with and there will be no more incompetent scum named to the Courts.

If nothing else, with Obama and a legitimate Congress, things finally have a chance of improving in spite of the jimi douglas experience.

jw is already greasing the skids for a barrage of excuses when Barack turns out to be just another lying dim that will never lower your taxes or much else except maybe try to destroy American's right to privacy by "eliminating" workers right to a secret ballot on union votes. I don't recall Republicans whining about Bush inheriting the Clinton recession of 2000, the impact and cost of 9/11, or the catastophic hurricanes like Katrina! Just remember, when the dims took control of Congress in November 2006 the Dow was at just under 12,000!

Idiot.

Apparently most don't agree with you, judging by the electoral vote totals.

"jw is already greasing the skids for a barrage of excuses when Barack turns out to be just another lying dim that will never lower your taxes or much else except maybe try to destroy American's right to privacy by "eliminating" workers right to a secret ballot on union votes."

In other words, bubbakis has got bupkis. Gee, I'm shocked.

"I don't recall Republicans whining about Bush inheriting the Clinton recession of 2000, the impact and cost of 9/11, or the catastophic hurricanes like Katrina!"

Once again, bubbakis, the only thing more "catastophic" than your inability to spell "American's" is the alleged "thought process" that led you to those misspelled clueless-cretin conclusions.

That's because what you claim didn't happen, the 2000 recession happened under Bush and a gop-slime Congress. Just like the messes you it didn't happen. It was the bush recession then and it's the bush recession now.

"Just remember, when the dims took control of Congress in November 2006 the Dow was at just under 12,000!"

And when it reached its recent bottom, it was at its lowest point in five years when incompetent, cluelessly-corrupt, gop-slime controlled Congress and the same incompetent, illegitimate-trash, idiot king was in the White House vetoing every measure the Dems took to rectify the situation and avoid the latest brain-dead bush league, recession-causing, deficit-filled debacle.

Nice try, nitwit. No sale.

Always a pleasure.

A question for the Village Idiot: How could the 2000 recession be blamed on Bush when he hadn't even taken office then?

DOH!

Because the bush recession of 2000 started in March. The nitwit in chief took Office in January, bubbakis.

Feel free to look it up. Learn something.

Always a pleasure.

It's amazing how easily the masses can be fooled by a few well read speeches, some Greek columns and a few hundred million of advertising, huh.

Where is Howard Dean these days? He cetainly fell off the face of the earth. Rumor has it for the last month the Obama machine has been holding him in a root cellar somewhere in Kansas.

I think they are keeping him the same place they kept Joe Biden for the last week of the campaign.

Lots of sour grapes on the blog today. Won't change anything though.

"Where is Howard Dean these days? He cetainly fell off the face of the earth."

He "cetainly" did, eh?

Gee, I hate to keep confusin' your ignorant anonymous ass, little fella, but he was all over the tube Yesterday, little clueless-cretin fella, taking well-deserved credit for the success of his 50-State Strategy on Tuesday, little fella.

He's been kinda busy.

Rovesputin, on the other hand, has plenty of time on his greasy little fingers these days prayin' for that pardon.

Clearly, your ignorant anonymous ass needs to start relying on credible news sources, stop watching fixed news and listenin' to flush and inshannity, get out more and get your sorry butt a case and a clue, little factually-challenged fella.

It wouldn't kill ya to learn how to spell certainly or use spellcheck, either, schmuck.

Always a pleasure.

"I think they are keeping him the same place they kept Joe Biden for the last week of the campaign."

Your ignorant anonymous ass needs to get someone to do your thinkin' for ya, little nameless-nitwit fella.

Clearly, you're not up to the task.

Always a pleasure.

oooo... you are so cool.

Anonymous..

"oooo... you are so cool."

Nah, it's more a case of you bein' ignorant anonymous trash with bupkis, little fraudulent fella, but thanks, all the same.

Always a pleasure.

No really, you are so cool. Really. Post alot for us today. Please.

JW aka Peter Freyne

So let me get this straight the 2000 recession started in March 2000 and Bush took office in January 2000???????
eh?

Put down the bong for a minute and double check the January date.

anonymous trash aka anonymous trash,

That's my mistake. The 2001 Bush Recession started in March of 2001.

There was no 2000 Recession. Feel free to check.

Always a pleasure.

JW
" Feel free to look it up. Learn something."

Well said idiot.

You remind me of the dimwitted guy who use to work at the local grain store. Always trying to put 10 pounds of bulls$&t in a 5 pound bag.

Does your mommy your sitting in the basement sucking on the old bong ???

Thats not all JW and his boyfriend suck on in the basement.

"You remind me of the dimwitted guy who..."

Nah, but you're a dead ringer for the nameless-nitwit who's still dumb, still scum and still has bupkis who posts this delusional dreck every time he's a nameless-nitwit who's still dumb, still scum and still has bupkis, little fella.

Don't be a stranger.

Always a pleasure.

Beware! Coopy is a little grumpy this morning. Apparently the Wild Irish Rose did not treat him kindly last night.

Gee, anonymous trash with bupkis.

What are the odds.

jw is not only an idiot but a liar as well. The Clinton 2000 recession , caused by the Dot.com bubble bust started in the last quarter of 2000. To be a recession, growth must halt for TWO quarters! As the depression of the 30's probably started un der Hoover, so did the 2000 recession start under Clinton. Look it up, fool.

bubba...

jw is not only an idiot but a liar as well. The Clinton 2000 recession ,.....

Nice try, bubbakis. If you have evidence to that effect, cough it up. I'm all ears.

Gee, bupkis from bubbakis. What are the odds.

The DOW was at 10587 on 1/20/01 when shrub was installed upon the throne and he inherited a budget surplus, a Nation at peace and a Lower Manhattan Skyline featuring two tall towers that aren't there any longer.

Then again, neither is the DOW, the budget surplus or bubbakis' evidence.

The 2001 Bush Recession began in 3/01 and ended in 11/01, little fella. Bush was President the entire time.

Feel free to check, chump.

Always a pleasure.

Are you bloggers saying Jeb Spaulding is running for Governor in 2010?

Mo W "Jiffy the phone is for you its Sec Of Human Services HoHo Dean"

HoHO "JW we could use you in DC can you come right away"

JW "I started coming when I heard your name. What kind of job did you have in mind?"

HoHo " Mental health didvision.....you will be a lab sample"

Crazy Howie as head of H and HS? Considering his overwhelming support for partial birth abortions, isn't that sort of like putting Josef Mengele head of research and developement?

Anonymous...

"Are you bloggers saying Jeb Spaulding is running for Governor in 2010?"

He should have run this year.

What's with this "are you bloggers..?" psychosis of yours, schmuck! What the hell are you, a missionary!

You're like some fixed-news nitwit whinin' about the media, like they're a volunteer fireman who's just happened to anchor the nightly news five nights a week for the past ten years in your spare time as a public service.

Get over yourself, schmuck. You're just another nameless-nitwit on the internet who's all yak and no sack.

Disappear.

JW the mental defect lab sample

tjar is kool!
