Another paper

The Valley News today endorsed Anthony Pollina for governor. See it HERE.

"To be sure, Pollina is the unconventional choice. But, then, these are unconventional times," the editorial concludes.

- Terri Hallenbeck

Comments:
"In contrast to political insider Douglas, Pollina is an outsider who spent several decades working as a community organizer. And like that other former community organizer whom we favor for the presidency, Pollina has gained valuable insights about ordinary people and about the political process as a result."

Gaye Symington: FIRE you campaign manager - NOW!!!!

Then Pollina should fire his too. He's not just as badly, if not worse.

The lefties in this state have been screwed by big egos.

Pollina and Symington have both let us down.

We can't afford 2 more years of Douglas.

Thanks to them, that's what we are stuck with.

Please people - Anthony Pollina - you must be kidding!

The joke is the governor we've had the last six years and the democratic leadership we've had the last 4.

I quit paying 50 cents for a paper that never carries much in Vermont news years ago.

Lefties themselves are such a joke. Only in a welfare state such as Vermont could a fool like Tony "milk check" Pollina ever be considered for elective office to ANYTHING much less Governor. But now that I think of it, that "other" community organizer is just as big a joke!

Pollina is a joke. Give up the credit card idea and get a real job. Anthony is just in love with the sound of his own voice!

The credit card might work if it wasn't being explained incorrectly by Doofus and Stymie. At least it's an idea.

I am not a Pollina supporter but interestingly he is the only one that has put concrete ideas on the table. The other two talk in generalities about things they have no plan or resources to execute.

I disagree! The best communicated platform has been JW's dialogue with Vermonter's on why he is best qualified to hold the office of Village Idiot.

Hey! Someone at Camp Symington finally decided to throw the "fleecing Vermont taxpayers" issue in Douglas's face. Where ya been? That's just the tip of the iceburg.

Amusing. A tax and spend liberal in the mold of Madeleine Kunin criticizes Douglas for "fleecing Vermont taxpayers"! Straight out of Alice in Wonderland!

Two questions:

1. Has Gaye disclosed legitimate tax returns yet or is she still hanging on to the Pro Froma submissions intended to hide her true business interests?

2. Who crafted her statement to the BFP? Clearly she could not have done it. I haven't heard her make 2 coherent statements in any speaking engagement yet.

This is a true act of desperation that only Coop would line up with.

I hope both Symington and Pollina start publicizing Douglas's stated opposition to the popular vote. Now is the time. Get Vermonters ready for the legislature's historic decision to remove a sitting state officer for all the right reasons.

Pollina does NOT have "concrete" ideas. Lots of horrible ideas have come to pass; just having some ideas is not good enough. Use your head,

I hope Vermonters care that Gaye Symington tried to deceive them about her taxes and income. i mean really - submitting a fake tax return?

I didn't say I supported him. I said he put clear programs on the table....things you could quantify and measure whether he did what he said he would.

The other two are talking in generalities about things that are difficult to measure whether or not they are done and things the State has no resources to do in any case.

Pollina's career has been underwhelming in terms of successes but he has never lacked the guts to try.

The Dems need to be taking note that they are losing their base to the P's for lack of leadership that can put forth a compelling platform that resonates with the needs of the State and more so the proven inability to execute affordable programs.

The real problem in this cycle is that the D's have allowed the Prog's to show themselves as something more than a fringe party that now will need to be heard in Montpelier.

The D's have come to expect things that maybe they shouldn't be so confident about in the future. It's called give and take. How about focusing on some issues that really do impact Vermonters. A vote by the Vermont legislature is not going to sway the federal government.

Why isn't the Dem Party denouncing Welch's endorsement of Phil "Fairweather" Scott? What a joke. Moore is a good candidate AND A DEM! Maybe it's because Phil Scott is a Dick Mazza toady, and everyone knows Mazza is a closet Republican and that Mazza slurped Welch's behind when he was Pro Tem. Whatever prompted Welch to endorse Scott has prompted me not to vote for Welch next Tuesday.

Jim Douglas does not deserve to be re-elected after fleecing Vermont taxpayers for his campaign expenses.

Maybe we should request the auditor to investigate the last 6 years.

Symington could clearly use an auditor!

And from our "bubbakis has got bupkis, so he ham-handedly tries to change the subject and hopes nobody notices" file.

No, that would be your latest bushel basket of brain-dead bupkis here, bubbakis.

Gee, another disastrous "do as dennise say I do and not as I do" delight from doogie.

What are the odds.

Well, at least, no Brooke Bennetts were harmed in the commission of this blunder. Yet.

Always a pleasure.

Relax, little nameless-nitwit fella.

It's explicitly enumerated in the Vermont Constitution that whenever and wherever any such vacancy shall occur, such positions will be given to candidates sufficiently caseless, clueless, senseless and stoneless enough so as not to be able to produce or recall said clueless-cretin's own name.

So, take heart, schmuck. Even in these uncertain economic times, your ignorant anonymous ass has job security, little nameless-nitwit fella.

They won't even hold your inability to spell what you can't substantiate against you.

In fact, there might be an extra pint in your Christmas Stocking.

What a Country. What a State.

Always a pleasure.

"Pollina does NOT have "concrete" ideas."

No, but he and his supporters are "cement heads" if they think a vote for him is going to amount to anything more than a vote for jim equals joblessness, little fella.

Nice try, Shep. No sale.

"Pro Froma", eh, little nameless-nitwit fella?

Well, if Gaye didn't craft her own statement, we can certainly rule out your ignorant, anonymous, functionally-illiterate ass as the Anonymous behind anything but this Primary Colors cluelessness of yours, little fella.

Oy Gevalt! What a putz.

You truly are the ignorant anonymous trash gift that keeps on giving, little fella.

Praise the Lord and pass the anonymous nonsense ammunition!

Hallelujah! I must be livin' right to have anonymous adversaries this farcockteh meshuggah.

Don't go changin, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

The train of thought that at least Pollina was willing to try is ridiculous. He has refused to run for any local or regional office and work his way up. And EARN the respect of Vermonters. He only wants top jobs with lots of glory and grandstanding. Pollina loves Pollina not Vermont.

That's a fair conclusion to draw. To my point, Pollina has put enough substance to his platform to allow you to draw that conclusion. The other two knuckleheads have been intentionally vague forcing everyone to make up what they think is being said. That gives either of them a ton of wiggle room once(and if) elected to flip on promises made.

Pollina may be the wrong guy for the job but give him credit for taking the process seriously and carrying on a real dialogue with the people of VT.

Here! Here! And without the Vermont press even paying attention until after the fact--as usual.

To which JW said: "Relax, little nameless-nitwit fella....blah,blah, blah.......cut and paste, cut and paste, cut and paste...."

Coopy, you seem unusally sensitive. You should be please to have secured such recognition.
Village Idiot....very nice and well deserved.

from,
Your adoring fans

Pollina is not a Progressive - accept it.

Because he dumped his party affiliation to run for governor. Accept it.
