Game on

Howard Frank Mosher might want to use this as the setting for the sequel to "Waiting for Teddy Williams."

Sunday in the Northeast Kingdom, some people who get together for a little softball and politics.

Independent candidate Sam Young issued the challenge for "Bring It to the Ballfield." He got a moderate-at-best response.

According to Young, he will be joined by fellow independents Anthony Pollina, and Tony O'Connor for games and gab. The campaign staff for Gov. Jim Douglas will be sending supporters to play ball. Representatives from the Democratic Party will attend, Young said, but he goes on to say those include Reps. John Rogers and John Morley. Morley is decidedly not a Democrat, however.

Cris Ericson and Peter Diamondstone declined invitations, Young said.

Give particular credit to O'Connor for being game for the game. He is a triple amputee who lost an arm and both legs in an accident many years ago, although that hasn't stopped him from golfing. He also recently lost his campaign Web site to hackers.

The show begins at 2 p.m. at at the Entropy Acres field of Dennis and Peggy Gibson, owners of NEK Balsam in West Glover.

John Rogers may be a "more" conservative dimocrat than the trash from Montpelier, Burlington and Bennington, but he still votes for Gaye who then appoints child-predator advocates like the fruit-cake from Hinesburg as head of the House judiciary to make sure no Jessica's Law ever gets a hearing. The reason there are so few good jobs in Vermont is: (1) Liberal trustfunders that move here want to keep the state as some kind of factory-free paradise. They could care less about ordinary Vermonters that might like good jobs. (2) The liberal enviro groups like CLF and VPIRG are toadies of (1). What businesses (outside of the organic tofu growers) would want to put up with the idiotic permitting process not to mention the taxes? Please cut the sex offenders some slack. Yes they are distructive to our society and beyond rehabilitation. I agree 110% that have nothing of merit to contribute, ever.

Michael Jacques was released by Amy Davenport, liberal judge appointed by Dean years ago as a reward for being a true dim. She supposedly did this based on testimony from his probation officer. How in the world does this relate to Gov. Douglas, idiot? Geez, how many jws do we have in Vermont?

Let me try to reintroduce you to how we do things here in the Free World, little fella.

Ya see, as governor, doogie heads the executive branch. The executive branch is charged with enacting, implementing and enforcing the law. Doogie picked Hoffie the hack to be his Commissioner of Corrections irrespective of the fact that he had no corrections experience and has proven himself to be yet another incompetent cog of the doogie/dubie debacle.

Corrections is part of the executive branch, bubbles. Probation and Parole falls under the jurisdiction of the Corrections. It was Corrections who signed off on early release from supervised probation for Jacques to allow him to work in NH and receive a promotion that would require him to travel frequently, and since profit trumps people in gop-swine eyes in the best of times, and the brutal murder of Brooke Bennett by her Uncle Mike Jacques, while tragic, is merely collateral damage in the gop-slime eyes of an incompetent gop Governor intent on making Vermont appear to be more business-friendly no matter what the cost.

Am I still goin' too fast for ya, bubble boy. Gee, that's a shame, but you're dumb, you're scum, ya got bupkis and at the end of the day, as an ignorant-trash gopologist, you're part of the problem, and while comedic, your metaphorical demise falls under the category of acceptable losses as collateral damage goes.
