Bernie no Bush buddy

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders voted against the Bush administration more often than any other U.S. senator, according to a new scorecard by Congressional Quarterly.

Sanders, an independent, voted with the White House only 23 percent of the time during Bush's seven-and-a-half years in office, according to the non-partisan publication.

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., voted with the administration about 48 percent of the time while Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, voted with Bush 40 percent of the time.
Republican presidential candidate John McCain voted with the White House 90 percent of the time.

The tally included Sanders' House votes as well as his Senate votes. He served in the House during the bulk of Bush's term. He was sworn in as a senator in January 2007.

Senators usually end up voting with the president more in the CQ tallies because only the Senate confirms presidential nominees and most of those nominees are non-controversial.

Comments:
McCain would have voted with Bush more, but McCain didn't show up most of the time.

In fact, McCain has missed more votes than any other sitting US Senator.

The guy won't show up for work ... but he wants a big promotion ...

Obama has also missed a lot of votes.

Good for Bernie!

McCain has missed 64% of the votes in the current Congressional session -- more than ANY OTHER SENATOR. (even more than the guy who missed most of the session because he was in a coma.)

When McCain does show up, he votes in lock stem with Bush&Cheney 95% of the time.

According to Congressional Quarterly, John McCain voted with George Bush 95 percent of the time in 2007, and has voted with him 100 percent so far this year.

Given his enemies, Bernie's clearly doing a good job for Vermonters and Americans everywhere.

Benie is the perfect nut case to represent Coop

"Given his enemies, Bernie's clearly doing a good job for Vermonters and Americans everywhere."
Bernie is asking Vermonters to beg for more heating assistance and in turn, our Washington delegation has to beg Congress for more money. This has been going on for years and these three stooges think it is just fine to send the Arabs $700 BILLION every year when we can be self-sufficient and produce our own resources. They all want Vermonters to "conserve and be more efficient". Your choices are to turn down the thermostat another 5 degrees (they don't think you know this already) and put more air in your tires and buy energy efficient light bulbs. If this doesn't work you will have to invest $8,000-$12,000 for solar, $15,000 for geo-thermal, $20,000 for a wind turbine or $22,000 for a Prius and just wear more sweaters this winter.
We deserve better than what we are getting from our delegation to Washington.

NEK has left a new comment on the post "Bernie no Bush buddy":

"Bernie is asking Vermonters to beg for more heating assistance and in turn, our Washington delegation has to beg Congress for more money."

He is, eh? Well, nekkie boy, given the fact that the US Economy has tanked under the gop-slime incompetence of shrubco and the doogie/dubie debacle and FEMA response to date has been little better the Katrina disaster, Vermonters shouldn't have to beg for emergency relief any more than Exxon and BP had to beg shrub and the late, unlamented gop-slime Congressional Majority who screwed things up for the last six years of the Clinton Administration and the first six of shrub's reign or error for the tax breaks they've showered them with despite them turning and smashing their own quarterly corporate profit records three years in a row.

That's what Government is for, nekkie boy. They don't exist to make the world safe for crooked bankers and oil company slimeballs

"This has been going on for years and these three stooges think it is just fine to send the Arabs $700BILLION every year when we can be self-sufficient and produce our own resources."

Well, if that were true, nekkie boy, just what stopped your gop-scum heroes from addressing the problem when they were in control of all three Branches of the Federal Government for shrubco's first six years in office and running rough-shod over everybody and the Democratic Congressional Minority was powerless to stop them?

That's what I thought.

So, what you're saying is that you continue to be ignorant trash with bupkis and ya don't know what the fook you're talking about with respect to this or any other issue your ignorant, anonymous ass chooses to spew factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest/delusional-dreck with no factual foundation or supporting evidence to substantiate it about.

Thanks for clearin' that up, nekkie boy.

Yeah, but until we get the incompetent gop scum responsible for this mess outta the WH and the Pavillion and replace them with competent, responsible Dems who don't ignore PDBs or go around invading the wrong damn Country and starting unjustified and unjustifiable wars based on lies and falsified intelligence that get people killed or maimed unnecessarily while running the Country into the ground who know what the fook they're doing and the gop-slime minority in the Senate can no longer filibuster everything that passes through the House because Bush and/or Doogie threatens to veto it because they and the ignorant, UnAmerican trssh dim enough to still buy their act continue to care more about them than the Country of the State of Vermont, we're just gonna have to make due with what we have for the time being.

There's no doubt about, nekkie boy. The gops haven't fooked things up this badly since they gave us the Great Depression and things look pretty bleak for Vermont and the Country for the next few years, but the Dems spent the better part of the 20th Century cleanin' up after criminally-incompetent gop-scum messes, they're just gonna have to spend the early part of the 21st Century doing it, too, but this is the USA and as long as ignorant trash and brain-dead bigots with bupkis vote, there's gonna be gop-scum messes for Dems to clean up.

All we can do is educate kids, inoculate them against the warped views of the brain-dead-bigots and ignorant-trash with bupkis who spawned them and wipe out or at least minimize the impact of ignorance the way we wiped out Polio and Small Pox and minimize the damage they do.

November is just around the corner, little fella, and help is on the way. We survived Nixon/Agnew, Reagan/Bush and newt's nitwits, we can survive bushco and the doogie/dubie debacle's incompetence, too.

Keep the faith, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

"That's what Government is for, nekkie boy. They don't exist to make the world safe for crooked bankers and oil company slimeballs"
What your saying Coop is that it is okay to make Vermonters beg for fuel assistance. You WANT high gas/oil prices so the government can control people's lives. You, Obama & Bernie have the makings for the next Karl Marx administration.
The USA doesn't need to be self sufficient, we will tax anyone who makes money and share with those who choose not to work.

NEK nekkie boy. They don't exist to make the world safe for crooked bankers and oil company slimeballs"

"What your saying Coop is that it is okay to make Vermonters beg for fuel assistance."

No, I'm not saying that at all, nekwit.

In fact, I'm saying just the opposite when I say they shouldn't have to beg for what they're entitled to any more than the Exxon has had to beg for the exorbitant tax breaks Bushco and the late, unlamented criminally-incompetent, and incompetently-criminal gop-slime, Congressional Majority lavished on them despite the fact that they're raking in record quarterly profits as they're ripping off the American Taxpayer, little fella.

If they hadn't been doing that over the last six years of the Clinton Administration and the first six years of the illegitimate-trash bushco administration when they controlled all three branches of the federal government and were running the Country and the State of Vermont into the ground we wouldn't be in this fix, little fella.

Adult Basic Ed, nekkie boy. Look into it.

"You WANT high gas/oil prices so the government can control people's lives."

I would, eh? Ya mean, as opposed to the freedom I feel when faced with the prospect of paying $4.00 per gallon or more for fuel oil this winter compared to the slavish drudgery and hopelessness I felt paying $1.25 when competence ruled the day, Clinton was in the WH, Dean was in the Pavilion and an indefensible and literally unciteable 5-4 Decision by the Supremes hadn't inflicted the incompetent madness of king george upon us, little fella?

Christ, that was back in the days when two huge towers dominated the skyline of Lower Manhattan before lifelong Republican, Jim Jeffords hadn't been driven by conscience, good sense, patriotism, and bushco incompetence to become an Independent.

Well, if by high gas/oil prices, your ignorant anonymous ass means that I like the less than a buck per gallon we were paying for gas and home heating oil we were paying when Clinton was in the White House and Dean was in the Pavilion and you ignorant anonymous take back Vermont trash were getting your heads handed to ya, every two years and competence ruled the day, then, yeah, I would prefer that.

Of course, oil was less than $30/barrel, the dollar was worth considerably more, Clinton had not only managed to get us out of the first Reagan/Bush deficit and the first Bush Recession and help resurrect the US Economy that had gone to hell under the first brain-dead bush-leaguer in the WH, but he'd managed to produce a nice little budget surplus to pay off the debt, pay back what Reagan/Bush had stolen from SS and the Transportation Fund and save for a rainy day."

Unfortunately, it's been rainin' like the afternoon of Thursday, August 7th, 2008 ever since the incompetently-criminal shrubco started squatting in the WH in 1/01and the criminally-incompetent Doogie/Doogie Debacle darkened the Pavilion door in 1/03 and it not only hasn't stopped raining yet, but the forecast calls for more gop-scum inflicted pain until 1/09 when our long national and state nightmares will be over and we can set about cleaning up the mess left by the doogie/dubie debacle and yet another gop-scum inflicted, brain-dead bushleague disaster of biblical proportions

"You, Obama & Bernie have the makings for the next Karl Marx administration.

The USA doesn't need to be self sufficient, we will tax anyone who makes money and share with those who choose not to work."

Well, nekkie boy, given the way bushco and doogie are losing jobs left and right there might not be enough of us left to pay that tab and they may have to shut off tap spewing Exxon's idiotic tax breaks and making the rich pay their fair share.

In other words, you're still dumb, you're still scum and your ignorant anonymous ass still doesn't have a fookin' clue what the hell you're talkin' about.

Thanks for setting the record straight, nekkie boy.

Always a pleasure.

While Vermonters are wondering how they are going to pay for their gas and heating fuels, the legislature decides to take a 5 week vacation. Nice, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid could care less about us and Vermont's legislators are in complete agreement with their democrat leaders- they are NOT looking out for you.

Remind me again, nekkie boy, what prevented the late, unlamented, gop-slime Congressional Majority from dealin' with the energy issue when Reagan was President and they controlled the Senate for the first six of his eight years in office, or when the 41st reich occupied the oval office and signed the Federal ban on offshore drilling into effect in the first place, or during the last six years of the Clinton Administration when they controlled the Courts and both Houses of Congress and they did bupkis to deal with the issue, to say nothing of the first six years of the 43rd reich when they controlled all three branches of the Federal Government, Cheney drafted and enacted an energy plan in secret, behind closed doors - the very energy policy that has managed to take oil from $30/barrel when Clinton left office and gas and fuel oil was $1.35/gallon, or so that has managed to take us from there to where we find ourselves today while allowing for no Democratic input whatsoever?

Knock yourself out, nekkie boy.

And while your ignorant, ill-informed ass is up, feel free to demonstrate just how this year is the first time in the history of this Country when Congress, and assorted other entities and branches of the federal government, took the Month of August off.

What'd ya come up with?

That's what I thought.

You're dumb, you're scum and your ignorant anonymous ass has got bupkis, nekkie boy.

Take it where the climate suits your sheet.

Always a pleasure.

NEK: You're dead on. Good points.(You don't read the poop stuff do you? I read one entry once and now I just skip right past all that infantile cut/paste garbage.)

Sure, ya don't, little nameless-nitwit fella. Sure, ya don't.

Nekkie boy's next point will be his first.

Always a pleasure.

Did somebody post something?

Who is more bipartisan? Who is more of the same?
McCain voted with the Republicans (Bush does not actually vote) 90 percent of the time.
Obama voted with the Democrats 96 percent of the time.
