Dubie's in; Shumlin's not

Brian Dubie announced today he's running for re-election, seeking a fourth term. The Republican from Essex chose to make his announcement with his friends on talk radio, Charlie and Ernie.

He said later in his Statehouse office that he's got a number of projects he's excited about, including increasing telecommunications around the state and developing a new "green" car with Detroit automakers. The mechanical engineering major and airline pilot has a magnet for all thing technical.

Dubie is a sort of reluctant politician. He said it took until now for him and his family to figure out another term was the right way to spend his time. Apparently all family members have veto power and none did.

So what about those rumors that Senate President Pro Tem Peter Shumlin would run for lieutenant governor? Shumlin said flat out today he's running for re-election to the Senate, not lt. gov.

It's actually a relief to know Shumlin will run for Senate again. With Gaye probably leaving her role,it is good to know at least one of the legislative leaders will be available to carry on the great tradition of gridlock, partisanship and ineptness they have so proudly displayed in the last years.

And without Peter who will be available to insult business leaders called to testify before the statehouse? Perhaps Coopy could fill in since his job has flex hours.

Douglas and Dubie are two good people. If only Vermonters would wake up and give them the people they need in the House and Senate to restore Vermont to what it could have been.

As if Dubie had any other options other than to follow the lead of Doesless and continue sponging off the public dime. Neither one of these clowns could be viably employed outside of the giant high school Vermonters call the State House. Doesless has no talent or skills to speak of, and Dubie lives vicariously through the achievements of his brother. Speaking of his brother, can you say nepotism?

Apparently you live with your head in the sand- probably even play in the sandbox! Brian happens to be an American Airline's pilot. Keep playing with your joy stick and you might get there someday!

That explains why American Airlines sucks as badly as it does. They'll hire anyone,

Accomplishments like making a living by flying aircraft are scorned by leftist trustfunders who have made a career out of attending peace rallies and signing gay marriage petitions.

How is Dubie going to "develop a new 'green' car" ???

That sounds like BS.

Gee, Teri, as long as you're continuing to perpetuate this specious "Shumlin called O'Kane a liar slop" by failing to set the record straight, why don't you tell us how Dubie's declaring he'll run for his 4th Term as Lt Gov makes him "a sort of reluctant politician" in any non-sarcastic sense of the term.

Aside from shamelessly lobbying the Bush Administration for jobs on the Vermont Taxpayer's dime and shamelessly attempting to turn a nonpartisan 8/04 National Guard Concert for Guard Members and their families into a partisan fundraiser for his reelection campaign earning the rebuke of then Vermont National Guard Adjutant General Martha Rainville, who before going on to have her own ethics issues in her unsuccessful 2006 run for Congress, said the following in a 7/1/05 AP story penned by your colleague David Gram:

"It is very important for everyone to realize that support for Guard families is nonpartisan," Rainville told the AP at the time. "Anything that would connect the Guard family to politics, even by perception, could be damaging to the families."?

Again, given the fact that the current make up of the Vermont Senate doesn't give Dubie many opportunities to cast tie-breaking votes, apart from looking for other jobs elsewhere and improperly attempting to turn nonpartisan events into partisan fundraisers for his reelection campaign while putting it on the tab of Vermont Taxpayers, just how "sort of a reluctant politician" is he to run for reelection his 4th term as Lt Gov?

Maybe it'll be like the van in Up In Smoke; made out of maijuana, hence a "green" car.

Sounds like BS to me as well. Instead of focusing his energy on helping to create industry in the midwest, maybe Doobie should focus more energy on bringing some industry into Vermont. I doubt any of the GM bosses have ever even heard of our phantom LG.

Wonder if Dubie is a member of ALPA? If he is, maybe he should start schooling his joke of a boss on workers' rights. Nah. I'm guessing Dubie is probably the National Right To Work's mole over at ALPA. He seems like the type.

Worker's right? You mean the right to be paid if you actually work?

All this sarcasm sounds like a bit of jealousy! Why don't one of you nimrods run for LG if your so smart?

Gee, simple-red, if your ignorant ass is gonna finish second grade and head off to coalition of the clueless grad school, you're gonna have to grow a pair.

Gettin' yourself a case and a clue wouldn't kill ya, either.

Then again, if you had a case and a clue, you wouldn't "think" like you do.

Always a pleasure.

Coopy doesn't play "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" because he'd lose every time AH

In other words, you think a Democratic Legislature should just roll over and rubber-stamp whatever a Gop Gov sends their way, eh?

Once again, I hate to confuse your ignorant, anonymous ass with the facts little fella, but Walter Freed was Speaker when the jimi douglas experience hit the stage.

If Vermont voters wanted jimi to have a Gop rubber-stamp legislature, they'd be flickin' their bics and he'd still have one.

They're not and he doesn't.

"Perhaps Coopy could fill in since his job has flex hours."

How is it that your ignorant, anonymous ass is always here to greet me and still here to bid me goodnight, little factually-challenged fella?

Ya wanna tally up anonymous posts along with mine and see which total is greater, knock yourself out, little fella.

That's entertainment.

Always a pleasure, always a piece of cake.

Aside from your usual obvious absence of any and all evidence in support of your specious slop, your latest load of ignorant trash with a side of bupkis rings with an uncommon conviction seemingly born of deep, personal experience, little factually-challenged fella.

Sing it, soul sista!

That's entertainment.

Seriously, anyone know what it means that Dubie is 'developing' a green car?

What's that got to do with reality?

Coopy asks... "In other words, you think a Democratic Legislature should just roll over and rubber-stamp whatever a Gop Gov sends their way, eh? "

You said that, not me. I would like to see them learn to work together to solve the issues. That doesn't seem to be in the Dems playbook.

Then Coopy says "If Vermont voters wanted jimi to have a Gop rubber-stamp legislature, they'd be flickin' their bics and he'd still have one."

Show me facts that VTers want this gridlock and would rather fight with Douglas on a partisan basis than seriously address the State's issues. ...that's what I thought.

Curiously Scooper goes on to ask... "How is it that your ignorant, anonymous ass is always here to greet me and still here to bid me goodnight, little factually-challenged fella?"

It is my mission in life Jeffy. You have given me purpose.

Coop then goes on to use a new word...."specious".

Wasn't that O'Reilly's word of the day last Friday? Are you watching Bill O. now Coopy?

Coopy ends with...'Sing it, soul sista!'

Love the trade talk Jeffy, you little entertainment consultant you.

Whatever it is, you can be sure to see Dubage and the two little apples of his eyes in an ad where he is instructing them to "buckle up" while in the green car.

I'm a little curious about the "increasing telecommunications around the state" dream statement as well. Won't Doesless bitch slap him for co-opting his sole issue? Jim equals Jobs certainly won't be a platform to run on in 2008.

Jim equals rising unemployment might be better.

Jim Equals Joblessness.

Give 'em two more and he'll have ya homeless, too!

Considerably more than Dubie and his delusionally-dimwitted devotees do.

Hey, that sounds a lot like JWCOOP10's hero, Doug Hoffer, famed "Independent Policy Analyst." Here's his resume; I can't find a single private sector job, except his "consulting" for various government and non-profit entities. It appears to be a career built on "sponging off the public dime."

1. Please state your name.

My name is Douglas Hoffer.

Ignorant trash with bupkis retorts:

"You said that, not me. I would like to see them learn to work together to solve the issues. That doesn't seem to be in the Dems playbook."

Really? And what evidence can you offer of Doogie the Dimmer's willingness to bargain in good faith, little factually-challenged fella? His repeated veto of CFR Legislation supported by the majority of Vermonters by one vote for the second year in a row?

Nice try, no sale, schmuck.

Again, little factually-challenged fella, jimi had a gop Speaker in Walter Freed when he hit the stage in 1/03. He doesn't have one any more. Symington wasn't elected Speaker by Gop scum.

Nevertheless, she's Speaker and one of 94 Dems. There's only 49 Gops. If the Voters of Vermont wanted the Doogie/Dubie Debacle to have a Gop rubber-stamp Legislature, he'd still have one.

Clearly, they don't because he doesn't.

"Then Coopy says "If Vermont voters wanted jimi to have a Gop rubber-stamp legislature, they'd be flickin' their bics and he'd still have one."

Show me facts that VTers want this gridlock and would rather fight with Douglas on a partisan basis than seriously address the State's issues. ...that's what I thought.

Ah, so if the Dem Majority doesn't rubber-stamp little jimi's slop, they're causing gridlock by engaging in partisan activities but when Doogie the Dimmer vetoes CFR Legislation supported by the majority of Vermonters that's different, eh?

Is it your clueless-cretin contention that Vermont voted to replace a Gop Speaker with a Dem Speaker and increased Dem majorities in both legislative bodies to rubber-stamp Doogie's delusional dreck, little fella?

That's what I thought.

Nice try, little fella.

"Curiously Scooper goes on to ask... "How is it that your ignorant, anonymous ass is always here to greet me and still here to bid me goodnight, little factually-challenged fella?"

You find me callin' your ignorant ass on your pathetic post count crap, curious, eh?

"It is my mission in life Jeffy. You have given me purpose."

So much for the hardworkin' gop-slop song and dance.

Well, if providin' me with a factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest/delusional-dreck dealin'/nameless-nitwit punchin' bag gets your ignorant anonymous ass outta bed, I'm happy to help ya out, little fella. I'm always happy to give back to the Community and work with the less fortunate.

"Coop then goes on to use a new word...."specious".

Wasn't that O'Reilly's word of the day last Friday? Are you watching Bill O. now Coopy?"

Oy, Gevalt! You are the meshuggah goy gift that keeps on givin', little fella.

Is it really your clueless-cretin contention that I've never used the word specious prior to last Friday now, too, little fella?

By all means, feel free to produce any and all evidence that I've never used the word "specious" prior to the 4/25/08 airing of Friday's edition of the Factor, little fella. You've certainly got as good a chance of makin' that case as any of your other asinine allegations, little factually-challenged fella.

Always a pleasure, soul sista.

I mean, won't the press actually look into this?? Explain it somehow??

IndependentVemonter,

Think about the pattern of the posts you see here. Activity starts Monday morning and ends Friday afternoon. Leads you to believe most of this left wing silliness is coming from one or two paid party hacks chartered to fill the board with its talking points.

Hoffer could be one. He faded away last time when he was recognized for what he was. While it could be coincidence, Hoffer disappeared at the same time Coopy surfaced.

Hmmm....

jw is merely a Hoffer with bupkis. Like peas in a pod.

Anonymous nitwits "thinking".

That's a good one, little nameless-nitwit fella. That's right up there with making Miss Spellings Secretary of Education and claims of fixed news being fair and balanced.

"Leads you to believe most of this left wing silliness is coming from one or two paid party hacks chartered to fill the board with its talking points."

Only if you're ignorant trash with bupkis who's been spewing the same psychotic slop since your ignorant, anonymous ass got here, little factually-challenged fella.

Ah, so we've come full-circle and your ignorant, anonymous ass is back to claiming I'm Doug Hoffer again.

Feel free to prove it, little fella. You've got as good a shot at makin' that delusional-dreck case as you do makin' any of the other psychotic slop you spew stick.

As long as you're failing to provide evidence in support of any and every psychotic-slop claim you make, feel free to produce evidence of me insulting your ignorant, anonymous ass because you or some other nameless nitwit paid "Hoffer a compliment."

That's what I thought.

There's plenty of reason to kick your ignorant, anonymous ass from pillar to post no matter what you say about Hoffer, little fella, and I've no doubt that you and your coalition of the clueless cretin comrades will provide me with many more in the future as you continue to fail to produce any evidence in support of anything you say.

A couple of posts previously, your ignorant anonymous ass was claimin' I was Doug Hoffer. A couple of posts from now you'll likely be doing it again.

Evidently, you've run out of bogus claims you can't substantiate and your ignorant, anonymous ass is back to spewin' the specious slop ya couldn't substantiate almost 7 months ago.
