Pollina's take

The previous posting was the D's letter to the P candidate for governor. Here's what P Anthony Pollina told me in response - that the concerns the Dems raised are the very things he'd like to talk to them about:

"As you know, I have been talking to and gaining the support
of many grassroots Democratic Party activists. I also requested a meeting with
the Democratic State Committee to discuss questions they have about how we can
work together to defeat Governor Douglas. The State Committee decided
not to have that conversation. In doing so they raised questions about how our
mutual support might work. These are exactly the kind of questions I
hoped would be discussed in the meeting they refused. And, in
fact the same questions I have answered in many other
meetings.

"I would rather not carry on this conversation
through media. I continue to hope I can talk to the Democratic State
Committee in the near future. If they have questions, it would be
best to sit down and talk about them."

- Terri Hallenbeck

Comments:
So, basically, Pollina is admitting to lying to Baruth. Nice. And how very "progressive" of him. Sorry, but the Pollina campaign is looking very, very desperate.

The Prog Dream team...Colby and Coop. It has a nice ring to it

Hide the children!

Good to see Pollina sticking up for working Vermont people today. Wish our current governor would pay that kind of attention to workers in our state. We're losing jobs like crazy and he's laying off even more people. He ran as Jim = Jobs but it's more like Jim = Lost Jobs.

Yeah, wouldn't it be terrible if Vermont's state employee workforce got down to the level New Hampshire has! Only a socialist would equate job creation to increases in state employment. Job increases should mean bringing new PRIVATE ENTERPRISE into the state or increasing what is still left. Even the U.S.S.R. and China discovered this!

NH has county government systems Blubba Boy. Create those in VT and then you can begin paring down the state workforce.

I guess the state employees union doesn't think the Democrats can field a credible candidate since their State House hacks are already working for Pollina. Kind of sad all the way around. Wonder what the membership will think about endorsing a three time statewide loser.

Oh quit your sobbing Jason. And "three time" should be hyphenated. You should know better.

If any Democrats support Pollina they are just pathelic!

Thank you, as always, for that factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest, Anti-American, ignorant-trash take on the issue, little bigot boy.

Once again, you've established conclusively that you don't know your ass from your elbow about anything and you'd lie your ignorant white-supremacist ass about it if ya did.

No one makes the case against you like you do.

Jw,

Nice said...like a true communist. However, even China is realizing these days it needs to be a free market economy and is moving quickly towards privatization to improve the efficiency and quality of the services it provides.

In fact, again you prove you are the weakest (or maybe missing) link on this board.

Jw,

Ya mean like Tiananmen Square and the slop they're pullin' in Tibet as I type and you spew, little Anti-American, fundamentally-dishonest, treasonous-trash with bupkis fella?

Gee, Gestapo tactics in the street, slave labor, unsafe working conditions, no environmental standards...

Sounds like your kinda place, little fella. Why ya still hangin' 'round this comparatively fresh air and clean water loving, environmentally-conscious Hell on Earth, little fella?

"In fact, again you prove you are the weakest (or maybe missing) link on this board."

"This board" being your ignorant, anonymous ass, bubble head and the other nameless-nitwit who claims to speak for the majority of Vermont, irrespective of the facts and despite all evidence to the contrary.

Sure thing, schmuck.

Every day in every way, the only thing you prove is the inescapable fact that you're ignorant trash with bupkis spewin' gop-slop nonsense ya can't substantiate and frequently can't spell, schmuck.

Ya haven't made a case since I got here, schmuck. The archives are chock-full of your failures to do so before I got here.

Your ignorant, lyin'-scum ass has all it can do to type "yawn" as you whine, bitch and moan because you've no longer got the run of the place to spew your ignorant, factually-challenged slop while trashing anyone who disagrees with your factually-challenged, Anti-American, white-supremacist-slime, neo-nazi nonsense like ya could before I got here.

That's just too damned bad, schmuck. You're ignorant trash with bupkis. Ya got nothing to say and still less to back it up and I'm gonna call your ignorant ass on it every time ya spew your ignorant white-supremacist slop.

That's not gonna change, punk.

You're not gonna be free to spew wing-nut nonsense and ludicrous claims that nobody in Vermont likes Leahy and Sanders when it's demonstrably not the case since we keep sending them back to Washington.

You nitwits can claim that's not the case all ya want. They're still Senator Leahy, Senator Sanders and Congressman Welch and you're still full of horsebrit hume.

The Town Meeting Results are the Town Meeting Results, schmuck.

You nitwits don't get to claim they're not just because you don't like them any more than I get to claim Douglas and Dubie aren't the Gov and the Lite Gov because I don't like them.

Unfortunately, for the State of Vermont, as long as they keep standing for election they keep winning, we're stuck with them.

Just like you delusional-dreck merchants are stuck with Leahy, Sanders and Welch.

Both chambers of the Vermont Legislature are in Dem hands. Symington and Shumlin are still Speaker and Pro-Tem.

Unless you can find enough people who agree with you to change that, that's just the way it is.

You don't get to claim the Take Back Vermont won when it didn't.

Ruthie Dwyer ran under that banner and got trounced every time she ran.

At least she finally had the good sense to face up to the fact that the majority of the State of Vermont didn't buy that slop and stopped running.

Too bad you clowns didn't get the memo.

Anonymous said: "I guess the state employees union doesn't think the Democrats can field a credible candidate since their State House hacks are already working for Pollina."

Is that true? I have a hard time believing it.

Anthony has always had a solid base among the unions and his union credentials are impeccable, but the VSEA has strong ties to the Democratic Party.

As much as they might want Douglas out, I can't see the VSEA alienating half the Democratic Party by backing Pollina. The Progressives may talk a slightly better game on union issues, but it's Democrats who have the numbers in the House and Senate to deliver the goods.

The way Douglas has been hosing the state employees, I wouldn't be surprised if the union went with Pollina, provided the Dems stay out of the race. If not, VSEA will go with the Dem, no doubt. Funny how some morons equate supporting a stance on one issue with an official endorsement.

Two words to think mof every time you hear Pollina's name

MILK MONEY

C'mon Tony P is the farmers friend......... isn't he??

Where is the Milk Money Tony P ????

The unions are trying to do "to" Vermont what they have done to Michigan.

The state employee union is so out of touch with its real members, they probably would endorse Pollina. Even though he can't even run a little milk company at a time when milk prices are as high as they've ever been.

Annie Noonan has bigger balls than Jim Douglas can ever hope to have.

Liberal dimocrats and progressives are more used to the dole. When it comes to trying the free enterprise system they're like ducks out of water.

JW,

To your 3:17 PM, March 22, 2008 posting, it is great the legislature is controlled by Dems but what have they accomplished this year or last? Nothing. Can they override any veto by Douglas...No.

Concerning Gaye and Peter's roles in the legislature ...WOW. Too bad they, like you are empty suits incapable of leading the legislature anywhere.

Concerning Leahy, Welch and Sanders, even you admitted in an earlier post that those evil Bush boys just ignore Pat's supeonas. What respect.

Being in power is meaningless if you can't do anything with it. So far the Dems haven't. That is called being an empty suit...but you know that too.

Why would any one pay attention to Vermont's Senators? Pat Leahy is all bluster, no substance. He pulled his grandstanding gig a few years back when turncoat Jeezum Jim allowed the dims to control the Senate briefly, and is no different now. His Hollywood pals just love it, and that's where the money is, so don't ever expect anything different from Pat. As for Brooklyn Bernie, what can you say about someone that has represented Vermont for over 20 years and never had his name on a bill of substance, and is widely considered a joke by the rest of the country. Who can forget his memorable rants to an empty House over the years? What winners!About the only thing they seem proud about is putting our country in danger, just for the sake of grabbing a headline or two.

The unions will support Tony P cuz they know that even Democrats are smart enough to know when unions are counter productive.

I'd say 85 percent of the posts on this string are Bubba's. He tries to be coy by posting some as anonymous, but you can tell it's him. Hey Bubs. Do us all a favor and start your own blog. You and John McClaughry can exchange opinions and recipes.

JW do Vermont farmers a big favor and go ask your lazy a88 buddy Tony P where the milk money is

can ya do that little buddy or is today the day your mommy takes you down to Toys R Us to pick out a prize for taking your ridlin this week

"Why would any one pay attention to Vermont's Senators? Pat Leahy is all bluster, no substance."

No, that would be your latest in a long line of lunatic-fringe arguments with no basis in fact.

Pat Leahy, in addition to Chairing the Senate Judiciary Committee, is the Senior Senator from the State of Vermont. He's held that position since he was first elected by the people of Vermont to represent them in 1974.

Clearly, the People of the State of Vermont don't share your factually-challenged opinions and we ain't buyin' your ignorant-trash with bupkis slop.

Those are what we in the real world call facts.

"He pulled his grandstanding gig a few years back when turncoat Jeezum Jim allowed the dims to control the Senate briefly, and is no different now."

And what grandstanding gig would that be, deduce bag?

That's what I thought.

"His Hollywood pals just love it, and that's where the money is, so don't ever expect anything different from Pat."

As for Brooklyn Bernie, what can you say about someone that has represented Vermont for over 20 years and never had his name on a bill of substance, and is widely considered a joke by the rest of the country."

No, that would be Bush, little bigot boy. What evidence do you have that Sanders is "widely considered a joke by the rest of the country."

That's what I thought.

"Who can forget his memorable rants to an empty House over the years?"

No, that would be the likes of Newt, little bigot boy.

"What winners!About the only thing they seem proud about is putting our country in danger, just for the sake of grabbing a headline or two."

As they're well into their 8th year proving it, the biggest threat to this Country is the illegitimate trash in the White House and the treasonous trash who support him, schmuck.

The ignorant trash who still support Bush are no more patriotic than Hitler's supporters were patriotic Germans.

Like you and your coalition of the clueless comrades, they're dumb, scum and wasting the oxygen of dogs from Coast to Coast, Pole to Pole and from every part of the World they continue to threaten and offend.

"JW do Vermont farmers a big favor and go ask your lazy a88 buddy Tony P where the milk money is
can ya do that little buddy or is today the day your mommy takes you down to Toys R Us to pick out a prize for taking your ridlin this week"

Nice try, little factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest/nameless-nitwit fella.

Clearly, you can't find evidence of my support for Pollina any more than Saddam's WMD or Bubble-head's evidence that Pearl Harbor and the Holocaust were mere misunderstandings perpetrated on the nice folks in Japan and Germany by FDR so he could "magically" get us out of the Depression he had us mired in and Tojo and Hitler were the real victims.

Then again, if ya could find a fact, produce evidence and knew what the hell you were talking about, your ignorant ass wouldn't be your ignorant ass, Bush and the gops would go the way of Hitler and the nazis and the republican party would cease to exist and dogs the world over would no longer be deprived of their oxygen by less-deserving delusional-dreck dealers.

Go cheney yourself, chump.

Dismissed.

yawn. 6 paragraphs...all insults, no facts from the Doctor of Bupkis himself.

jw - two questions:

What year did the great depression end?
What year did America enter WWII officially?
Can you put the pieces together?

Dr Bupkis,

To your 12:02PM posting thank you, as always, for that factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest, Anti-American, ignorant-trash take on the issue, my little delusional one.

I hope all is well with Fluffy

You are such a strong woman JW don't let the boys kick you around like this

you go girl!

To give jw a hint: we entered WWII in a year between 1940 and 1942. And the depression "officially" ended in a year between 1941 and 1943.

Jeezum crow, what an idiot!

Apparently the greatest insult one can sling at someone is to call them a woman. Get a life, misogynists.

Dr Bupkis,

To your 2:06PM posting thank you, as always, for that factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest, Anti-American, ignorant-trash take on the issue, my little delusional one.

While it's encouraging to see that you've grasped the fact that 42 comes after 41 and immediately before 43, little bigot boy with bupkis, that doesn't substantiate your bogus assertion.

Moreover, it still leaves you ignorant, white-supremacist slime with bupkis.

I never doubted ya for a second, schmuck, but that still doesn't address the issue.

Dismissed.

yawn.

Clearly, you've been up all night putting your customary great deal of "thought" into your answer, little factually-challenged fella.

Too bad ya got bupkis.

Alas, we have some lovely parting gifts for you including this magnificent set of matched luggage for the factually-challenged fella about to board a bus bound for Tuscaloosa.

Boy voyage, bupkis boy. You'll be one stylish, stupid schmuck.

Disappear.

yawn

Bupkis. Ignorant, ill-informed, bigoted-trash bupkis with bells on.

You're gonna have to do better than steal my lines, little fella.

It makes for better packaging, but ya still got the same ol' delusional-dreck, defective product, putz.

Disappear.
