Pollina's take
The previous posting was the D's letter to the P candidate for governor. Here's what P Anthony Pollina told me in response - that the concerns the Dems raised are the very things he'd like to talk to them about: "As you know, I have been talking to and gaining the support of many grassroots Democratic Party activists. I also requested a meeting with the Democratic State Committee to discuss questions they have about how we can work together to defeat Governor Douglas. The State Committee decided not to have that conversation. In doing so they raised questions about how our mutual support might work. These are exactly the kind of questions I hoped would be discussed in the meeting they refused. And, in fact the same questions I have answered in many other meetings.
"I would rather not carry on this conversation through media. I continue to hope I can talk to the Democratic State Committee in the near future. If they have questions, it would be best to sit down and talk about them."
