Exit rants

Barack Obama has got to be loving Vermont today. If he hadn't won this state Tuesday, he would have gone 0 for 4 on March 4, and Hillary Clinton would be crowing about her big upset in Vermont as much as her wins elsewhere. Just a thought.

In any case, Obamania remained intact in the Green Mountain state. Here's some findings from exit polling done of 1,007 people in 20 selected precincts for the Associated Press, giving us some insight into wthatDemocratic primary voters people (at least the ones who submitted to being interviewed) were thinking as they left the polls in Vermont yesterday.

1. Obama won more than half the female vote.
2. Obama won 60 percent of people earning $50,000 a year or less.
3. Clinton won 40 percent of people aged 65 and older.
4. Obama won almost 66 percent of people aged 18-29, who made up 10 percent of the Democratic primary turnout.
5. Clinton won the late-breaking deciders _ people who made up their minds in the last three days - by a small margin.
6. The Iraq war and the economy tied as the number one issue for voters. No other state in the country rated the war as highly.
7. Nearly half the people who voted in the Democratic primary identified themselves as independents, and they broke heavily in Obama's favor.
8. About two-thirds of voters identified themselves as liberals and less than a third said they were moderates. Both groupings went for Obama.
9. People who said the ability to bring change to the country mostly supported Obama. People who rated experience as the top quality favored Clinton.
10. The exit pollsters were unable to gather enough interviews from Republican voters to produce a viable exit poll for Republicans.

a dozen blog posts on the horse race, but not one on policy ...

Journalists don't cover policy debates anymore.

Few of them even understand the issues.

The man that picked Dick Cheney as his running mate now wants us to vote for John McCain.

Hmm.

Yeah, let's stick with what doesn't work only more so.

Who could say no to a bumper sticker/political philosophy like that.

That's the gop notion of getting back to basics and the preservation of traditional values.

No wonder these nitwits favor hope abortion on-demand at any time.

Why are the War in Iraq and the Economy presented as separate issues?

The biggest drain on the economy is the War in Iraq and the biggest threat to National Security and the Economy is the incompetent, illegitimate-trash schmuck in the White House.

Lose the schmuck and solutions become possible. Keep the schmuck and the Country is basically cheneyed.

yawn....that is all opinion and no fact. you bore me.

"If he hadn't won this state Tuesday, he would have gone 0 for 4 on March 4"
Not true...Just because the Clintons say they won Texas don't make it so. And saying they have won Michigan and Florida outload...again, don't make it so.

McCain for President!

100 years war in Iraq!

Make tax cuts for the rich permanent!

Bush's third term!

Why can't the Vermont Democratic party come up with a candidate for governor who can take it to Jimmy D? VT is a liberal, Democratic state. Why do we keep electing a Republican Bush/Cheney flack as governor?

I just love it when there is a dimocrat cat fight! Smell the burning fur! The fools can't blame the Republicans for cheating Barack in Ohio (seeing as how Barack's precinct leaders kept the Cleveland polls open a "while" extra) so now it's la-la land where Hillary REALLY didn't beat Barack in Texas, she only SAID she did! Apparently jw has relatives!

Clearly, you've got bupkis, little bigot boy. There's no need to attach any qualifiers.

So, little factually-challenged fella, now that the Ohio gop establishment is out of office, incarcerated or both, how's McCain gonna steal Ohio?

What's he gonna run on, gop job creation figures? The Bush League Economy? The War in Iraq?

Always a pleasure.

and the dims run on the strength of Pelosi and Reid's accomplishments over the last year?

Wonderful. Great approval ratings.

Line right up. Drink the kool-aid. Obama has no substance. Just another questionable Chicago politican. Clinton has offers no change.

Americans that believe in their country are starting to come around to John McCain. We have had a growing economy and stock market for several years, the first real problems starting to appear when the dims took over Congress and decided that their strategy of winning in '08 would be to (1) destroy the economy (2) do all they can to help our enemies hurt our country and our own people defending us (3) having their operatives in the media daily bombard Americans with treasonous talk against our leaders. Just look at the Vermont delegation: has any Senator or representative done more to attack EVERYTHING this country stands for than dumb (Welch), Sanders (dumber) and Leahy (dumbest)? The sleaze exhibited by the dims in the current primary season ought to be a warning of what to expect if, God forbid, the dims should ever win this fall. Smoke and mirrors, spend, spend, spend, but no substance.

Bub...Hillary hasn't won Texas, she won the primary, collecting 65 to Barack's 61 delegates, but the caucus is only 40% in and Barack has a 10% lead presently.
Texas :Open primary and caucuses: 228 total delegates.
126 tied to March 4 primary, 67 tied to March 4 caucuses, 12 superdelegates...and JW is no relation of mine. Surely as Bush declared victory in Iraq, Hillary must have already won Texas. They wouldn't say it if it wasn't so. All Smoke and Mirrors.

I'll bet McCain wishes Douglas would have been as supportive to him in 2000, when GW and Rove were linking McCain to a black prostitute. Nah. Jimmy latches on to the flavior of the day like the career politico he is. Vote for Pollina, vote for Fred Tuttle, vote for your dog. Anybody but Douglas. He's a lightweight.

bubba has left a new comment on the post "Exit rants":

"Americans that believe in their country are starting to come around to John McCain."

Yeah, they're just showing their numbers by not voting and disguising themselves as empty seats.

"We have had a growing economy and stock market for several years,...

Yeah, I remember the Clinton Years fondly, too, bubbles.

We had a balanced budget, no federal deficit, the US was viewed favorably by most of the World, oil was under 20 bucks per barrel, there were two really tall buildings near the bottom of Manhattan Island, New Orleans hadn't been washed away because the criminally-substandard Federal Levee System failed and we had a legitimate, competent, American living and working in the White House who actually gave a damn about this Country and its people.

Good times. That must have been hell for you.

"...the first real problems starting to appear when the dims took over Congress..."

Gee, and all this time I thought they were talking about the 9/11/01Attacks. I hadn't realized the WTC twin towers will still standing on 9/11/07, little fella. It certainly feels like they've been gone for years.

"..and decided that their strategy of winning in '08 would be to (1) destroy the economy (2) do all they can to help our enemies hurt our country and our own people defending us..."

Well, if that was the plan, little factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest fella, Bush and the gops certainly made sure that nobody, nowhere was gonna beat them to the punch in terms of trashing the economy, little fella.

Of course, you gops are the party who gave us the Depression, record unemployment, the first Reagan/Bush Deficit, the second Bush Deficit and $105/barrel oil and $3.20/gallon gas, so nobody is gonna get a jump on ya on that front, little fella.

"(3) having their operatives in the media daily bombard Americans with treasonous talk against our leaders."

Ah, the old "blame it on the liberal media" song and dance routine. Gee, now who coulda seen that coming?

Two words: Judy Miller.

Keep clickin' the heels on your ruby red slippers together, bubbles, you just might make it back to Fred Phelps' Kansas yet.

"Just look at the Vermont delegation:..."

Ya mean the one duly-elected by the voters of Vermont, little fella?

"...has any Senator or representative done more to attack EVERYTHING this country stands for than dumb (Welch), Sanders (dumber) and Leahy (dumbest)?"

Well, for openers, just off the top of my head, there was Joe McCarthy, Jefferson Davis, Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, Richard Nixon, Newt Gingrich, Tom Delay, Denny Hastert, John Boehner, John McCain, Richard Pombo, Jerry Lewis, Bob Ney, Rick Santorum, Trent Lott and Ted Stevens.

That should keep ya busy for a little while, little bigot boy.

"The sleaze exhibited by the dims in the current primary season ought to be a warning of what to expect if, God forbid, the dims should ever win this fall. Smoke and mirrors, spend, spend, spend, but no substance."

Yeah, all that Peace and Prosperity and sub $10/barrel oil was a living hell, little fella.

Well, no foul smelling barnyard or toxic, superfund site type substances anyhow.

The smell of Napalm in the morning fades eventually and the stench of old parchment and burning Constitutions can be remedied easily enough once ya stop actively attempting to burn them, little factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest/white-supremacist slime fella.

Nice try, nitwit. No sale.

You're dumb. You're scum. You're dismissed.

"... Anybody but Douglas. He's a lightweight."

Ya really think he's got that much gravitas?

He couldn't make it past the refs instructions against a journeyman flyweight. One 110-pound jab and he'd collapse quicker than a bigot boy argument.

jw, congratulations are in order. I noticed in the Montpelier election results that you were elected Village Idiot, lifetime appointment, unchallenged by Republicans or Progressives. You obviously have been well trained for this moment and let me be the first to say "No body is more deserving".

May you never fail to uphold your solemn duties.

"No body" is one word Blubba. Your post is pretty lame too. I think you think you're cute, but you never actually really lend anything of value to any of these debates. JW at least makes coherent arguments. Somebody's got to correct the slew of half-truths and outright lies you post in here.

Thank you, Doug.

What do you expect? Bubba is as old as McCain and his arguments are equally dated.

"jw, congratulations are in order.

So much bupkis, so little time.

In other words, having already been decked with your McCain meshugass and ignorant slop about Vermont's Congressional Delegation, canvas back bubbles is tryin' to change the subject with what passes for gop-slop humor.

Thanks for reminding us why gops are second only to Outer Mongolian goat herders in kudos earned for their stand up comedy skills.

That crap couldn't even make the cut on the late, unlamented fox noise channel attempt to provide a gop-slop nonsense alternative to Jon Stewart's The Daily Show.

Christ, they didn't even give that mess 3 strikes before gassing it.

Gops are as worthless at comedy as they are at Government.

What's next, limbaugh ridin' his winning Kentucky Derby mount to the Triple Crown?

Archivists Block Release of Clinton Papers
By Peter Eisler,

Federal archivists at the Clinton Presidential Library are blocking the release of hundreds of pages of White House papers on pardons that the former president approved, including clemency for fugitive commodities trader Marc Rich.

Newly released documents show that people from all walks of life requested pardons from President Clinton, either for themselves or others. Ex-first lady Rosalynn Carter asked him to pardon heiress Patricia Hearst for a 1974 bank robbery after her kidnapping. He granted it.

In a statement, the Clinton campaign said that "all of the redactions made to the pardon-related documents were made by (the National Archives)."

Former president Clinton issued 140 pardons on his last day in office, including several to controversial figures, such as commodities trader Rich, then a fugitive on tax evasion charges. Rich's ex-wife, Denise, contributed $2,000 in 1999 to Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign; $5,000 to a related political action committee; and $450,000 to a fund set up to build the Clinton library

Wait for W's list. It should be a gem.

More from liberal hypocrites. Open government only applies to Bush and Republicans, not the Clintons or Howard Dean's papers.

How about seeing some of Barak's private notes from his business partner Tony Boy

Maybe JW can get them for us in his spare time..... you know between his Mom feeding him lunch and taking his meds

or Barack's notes from his dealings with the Weather Underground or the notes on what was really said the the Canadian government about his position on NAFTA...was he or was he not just Demogoging? He has no credibility. Just another dirty Chicago politician.

Rezko In Debt $50 Million; How Did He Afford Obama Lot?
Court Transcript Says Rezko Depends on Family Handouts of $7,500 a Month
By BRIAN ROSS and RHONDA SCHWARTZ
March 5, 2008—

Accused Illinois fixer Antoin "Tony" Rezko is in debt by $50 million and relies on "family" handouts of $7,500 a month to pay monthly costs, according to a previously sealed court transcript reviewed by ABC News.

Rezko's bleak financial picture raises the question of how the Rezkos were able to buy a vacant lot adjoining the home of Sen. Barack Obama in 2005, at a time Rezko says he was already in deep debt.

Rezko also reveals in the testimony, before Judge Amy St. Eve on Jan. 16, 2007, that he already knew he was under federal investigation at the time of the land purchase and had hired a criminal defense attorney to deal with the "feds."

Obama says he sought Rezko's help because the house he wanted to buy in Chicago's Hyde Park came with an adjoining lot the seller wanted to sell at the same time.

Unable to afford it himself, Obama says Mrs. Rezko bought it for $625,000, and then later sold a strip of the lot back to Obama so he would have a larger yard. Obama says he paid Mrs. Rezko a fair market price.

According to the court transcript, Mrs. Rezko makes $37,500 a year.

Obama has defended Rezko's role as legal but says it was "a bone-headed mistake" to involve him in the deal.

According to the transcript, Mrs. Rezko sold the vacant lot a few weeks before the hearing, with all proceeds going to pay previous debts.

Asked how he was able to pay his lawyer, Joseph Duffy, Rezko said family and some unnamed "friends" were paying his legal bills.

Duffy told the judge, "Mr. Rezko has not provided us any money since his indictment."

Rezko told the judge he had no current source of income, saying his last business deal involving a proposed power plant in Iraq had been cancelled.

He said he had an ongoing relationship with Nadhmi Auchi, a London-based Iraqi billionaire convicted on French fraud charges, who Rezko described as a close friend and business associate.

Auchi came under investigation with the U.N. oil-for-food scandal, but no charges were brought, and he denied any wrongdoing.

The Weather Underground? Obama isn't old enough to have had dealings with the Weather Underground. You're talking forty years ago. He's 46.

The more you dig up about Barack and his crooked pals, the more you will be slimed by his leftist acolytes. Remember what happened to the Swift Boat war heros when they dared bring up Kerry's sliming of our G.I.s?

Obama once visited '60s radicals

By: Ben Smith
Feb 22, 2008 01:09 AM EST

In 1995, State Senator Alice Palmer introduced her chosen successor, Barack Obama, to a few of the district’s influential liberals at the home of two well known figures on the local left: William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

While Ayers and Dohrn may be thought of in Hyde Park as local activists, they’re better known nationally as two of the most notorious — and unrepentant — figures from the violent fringe of the 1960s anti-war movement.

...Obama’s connections to Ayers and Dorhn have been noted in some fleeting news coverage in the past. But the visit by Obama to their home — part of a campaign courtship — reflects more extensive interaction than has been previously reported.

But Obama’s relationship with Ayers is an especially vivid milepost on his rise, in record time, from a local official who unabashedly reflected a very liberal district to the leader of national movement based largely on the claim that he can transcend ideological divides.

Like many of the most extreme figures from the 1960s Ayers and Dohrn are ambiguous figures in American life.

They disappeared in 1970, after a bomb — designed to kill army officers in New Jersey — accidentally destroyed a Greenwich Village townhouse, and turned themselves into authorities in 1980. They were never prosecuted for their involvement with the 25 bombings the Weather Underground claimed; charges were dropped because of improper FBI surveillance.

...Both have written and spoken at length about their pasts, and today he is an advocate for progressive education and a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago; she’s an associate professor of law at Northwestern University.

...But — unlike some other fringe figures of the era — they’re also flatly unrepentant about the bombings they committed in the name of ending the war, defending them on the grounds that they killed no one, except, accidentally, their own members.

....Dohrn, however, was jailed for less than a year for refusing to testify before a grand jury investigating other Weather Underground members’ robbery of a Brinks truck, in which a guard and two New York State Troopers were killed.

....“I don't regret setting bombs; I feel we didn't do enough,” Ayers told the New York Times in 2001.

So much ignorant, ill-informed, Anti-American, White-Supremacist-Slime Bupkis, with no basis in fact, so little time.

Christ, ya take a few days off and the coalition or the clueless cretins are coughin' up gop-slop nonsense like:

Obama - Osama. Coincidence? "I think not." and tryin' to pass it off as "serious, thoughtful, legitimate argument" when it's merely the factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest, neo-nazi-nonsense, bigoted-trash bupkis that passes for thought amongst the little bigot-boy and the 2-3 nameless-nitwits dumb enough to buy his act.

Bubbles, nameless-nitwits, lend me your ears.

Ya got bupkis. Ya are bupkis.

Thank God you're not Vermonters.

You're dumb. You're scum. You've dismissed.

Nice talkin' to ya.

So JW exactly what in that article is wrong? The answer is nothing. You just don't like what it says.

You bore me. It has been nice the last days with you gone. Vacation more often. It's good for your mental health.

Oh yeah....yawn!

Hey, if Howard Dean and/or the Clintons have papers from 1/01 - 3/19/03 dealing with secret meetings with energy company slime and trying to pin the blame for rolling blackouts in California on Erin Brockovich when folks were just gettin' shafted by the likes of the late unlamented, Bush Pioneer, Kenny Boy Lay, 2/01 correspondence with telecom slime trying to get them to illegally wire-tap everyone who didn't vote for them and cooked intel on phantom Iraqi wmd programs and nonexistent links to bin laden, they should have to cough 'em up just like shrub and the dickster.

Ya got bupkis, little bigot boy. Ya always do.

Dismissed.

yawn. Nothing to offer again but childish insults.

yawn.

Bupkis. Factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest, white-supremacist-slime bupkis.

Sleep tight, schmuck.

You're dumb. You're scum. You're dismissed.

Disappear.

You are a bore. Once again nothing new, only insults.

Yawn.

All bupkis all the time.

Let me get this straight, schmuck. Your lyin'-scum, nameless-nitwit butt and the little bigot boy keep spewin' the same ignorant, ill-informed, lyin'-slime bupkis over and over again yet I'm somehow obligated to come up with new and different ways to identify you as the factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest, Anti-American, white-supremacist-slime you continually reveal yourself to be?

Go cheney yourself, punk. You're dumb. You're scum and you're dismissed.

Ya got nameless-nitwit bupkis. Ya are nameless-nitwit bupkis and I wouldn't piss on ya if ya were on fire.

Thank God you're not a Vermonter.

Thank you for the kind words.

I see your hiatus from the board has allowed you time to recharge your batteries and your now predictable array of insults. In case you have forgotten, there are terms of use on this board to not be abusive or insulting. Glad to see you choose to comply with them.

You are an inspiration to us all.

Good to see you back, jw - how did the lobotomy go? Not so good? Do you really believe it is anti-American to expose the murderous scum of the Weather Underground? Were they your heros back in your pre-Vermont days, little piece of flatlander trash?

Have a nice day and remember not to take the bandages off too soon.

JW

"Thank you for the kind words."

Not at all. Always happy to reach out to the ignorant, ill-informed, factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest, white-supremacist-slime community, little fella. Both of ya.

"I see your hiatus from the board has allowed you time to recharge your batteries and your now predictable array of insults."

In other words, ya got bupkis and it's open season on ignorant slime again. Kudos on your firm grasp of the obvious.

I hope ya enjoyed your respite, little fella, 'cause like Jim Crow, your factually-challenged, white-supremacist-slime philosophy masquerading as traditional values song and dance is over.

You're dumb. You're scum and you're a dinosaur. Go find yourself a tar pit and fall in it.

"In case you have forgotten, there are terms of use on this board to not be abusive or insulting. Glad to see you choose to comply with them."

Gee, ya mean the factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest, white-supremacist slime likes of you and the little bigot boy don't have the run of the place to spew your lyin'-scum, bigoted-trash slop with impunity any longer, little fella?

Bummer. Ya never should have been able to do it in the first place, putz.

In case you've forgotten, that applies to people with a legitimate point of view which leaves you 0-2 before ya even step into the box, schmuck.

Ignorant, ill-informed, factually-challenged, white-supremacist slime is not a point of view, little fella. Like you, it's merely, ignorant, ill-informed, factually-challenged, white-supremacist slime.

Ya got bupkis, ya are bupkis and you and your bigoted-trash, coalition of the clueless compatriots aren't on my endangered species list, little fella.

Metaphorically speaking, little nameless-nitwit fella, like your ideological soul-mates in the klan, you're just another lunatic-fringe lamprey that's not native to this area and needs to eradicated no later than yesterday.

Do ya need me to go over that for ya again, little fella?

"You are an inspiration to us all."

Gee, thanks, little fella. That still leaves you a delusional dreck merchant with bupkis, but I appreciate the gesture all the same.

Disinfect of disappear.

Nice talkin' to ya.

Again, thanks for the great expression of humanity JW. You are doing yourself proud.

All bupkis, all the time.

"Again, thanks for the great expression of humanity JW. You are doing yourself proud."

Humanity! I'm addressin' your worthless, ignorant, ill-informed, white-supremacist butt, schmuck.

Don't be tryin' to pin the rap for your rubbish on humanity, little factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest fella.

They're not responsible for your bigoted-trash slop, little fella, you are, and you've got nothin' to do humanity, little fella.

Disinfect or disappear.

bubba has left a new comment on the post "Exit rants":

"Good to see you back, jw - how did the lobotomy go? Not so good?"

I've gotta level with ya, little bigot boy. You're still the same delusional dreck peddler ya were last week. I don't see any change let alone improvement in ya.

"Do you really believe it is anti-American to expose the murderous scum of the Weather Underground?"

Nah, you're Anti-American scum for a lot of reasons, schmuck.

The desperate, pathetic attempts of you and your little nameless-nitwit sidekick to link Obama to the 40 year-old deeds of the Weathermen 'cause ya got bigoted-trash bupkis are the least of your worries, punk.

Thank God you're not Vermonters.

"Have a nice day and remember not to take the bandages off too soon."

Yeah, that's what I figured ya did, little factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest fella.

Still, it's not the dumbest thing you've done. I'm sure you'll top it before the day is over.

Disinfect or disappear.
