Don't mess with VT

If you listen to news reports about the upcoming March 4 presidential primaries, you don't hear a lot of mention about Vermont. They mention Texas, they mention Ohio. They don't mention Vermont or Rhode Island.

But alas, a national AP story on the topic does:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton
is counting on the almost-Super Tuesday primaries March 4 for another comeback,
as she and rival Sen. Barack Obama both begin ads in Texas and Ohio, the day’s
biggest prizes.
Barring an upset win for Clinton in the next five Democratic contests, she could well have suffered 10 straight defeats by the time Democrats begin voting March 4 in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont — the biggest single day left on the Democratic nominating calendar.

...

In Vermont, where voters will decide on 15 delegates, former state Rep. Mary Sullivan, an Obama supporter, has been looking for space to house an expected influx of workers as people in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York call to volunteer.
Billi Gosh, a Vermont super delegate who supports Clinton, expressed frustration that her campaign has relied entirely on volunteers in Vermont and has yet to send in a staff worker. “We really need a staffer, and we need Bill or Hillary Clinton to come here,” she said.

If I were putting money on it I wouldn't bet we'll see any of the candidates live and in person. We might not even see any TV ads. We'd be cutting into their Texas and Ohio time.

- Terri Hallenbeck

Comments:
Candidates might come if they knew they would get decent press coverage, but, alas, they have probably been warned about the VT press corp. Seriously though, we're a speck on the map. Texas and Ohio have a lot more delegates to offer.

McCain is supposed to arrive Thursday. No doubt the reception he receives from drooling, hydrophobic anti-war nuts will remind him more of the Hanoi Hilton than the Burlington Hilton.

Here, here!

Ah, so the Vermont Press Corp is notoriously tough when stacked up against the other 49 states and the WH Press Corp, eh, mcclueless?

And you're basing this on,.......?

"Seriously though, we're a speck on the map. Texas and Ohio have a lot more delegates to offer."

Seriously though, don't you have a firm grasp of the obvious, little fella.

Reality check, punk. We've got the same number of electoral votes and delegates as Wyoming and one fewer than North Dakota and Maine where Obama made an appearance this past weekend in a State with two gop Senators and Collins is up in November.

Every state and every delegate count.

McCain's biggest problem is flush limbo and the Tennessee Taliban.

His own Party hates him almost as much as they hate Hillary and the way things are goin' they won't even have Hillary Hatred to get them to the polls and if that happens, it's a landslide and they're truly toast.

Gops will be sellin' pencils on street corners with the old Soviet Politburo members and rightfully so.

So do your homework or end up like bubble boy and his clueless little legion of loons.

Check the vote totals for the Dems and the Gops by state, little fella.

Outside of Utah and maybe one or two other red states, Dem turnout is way up and Gop turnout is way down and that's been the case more often than not since Iowa.

Dem totals are often up 2-1 against Gop totals.

Dismissed.

Nah, it'll be a vacation for him.

He needs to get away from the Tennessee Taliban and flush and the rest of the talk show trash nitwits and there's only a handful of you ignorant swine in Vermont.

He'll win the primary here, but either Obama or Hillary are gonna smoke him in November.

Dismissed.

While I wish Romney was still in the race and coming to Vermont, I am still very excited that McCain decided to visit out little state. While I disagree with McCain on many issues, mainly his stance on immigration, I am looking forward to hear what he has to say. I only hope that all our local tree-huggers and neo-communists don't come out to ruin this. You would hope that people would at least show a little respect to any presidential candidate no matter what party.

Hey, this will give scum like Colby and his little pal "Bootsie" an excuse to get their slacker butts in the news! Maybe they can encourage some naive high school kids, you know, tell them that McCain is a killer, etc., make some obscene signs to wave in his face, yell, spit, be dragged out and then get the ACLU to defend "their rights", hey what a hoot! Let's pretend we're in Berkly!"

Leaving aside the fact that you can't even spell Berkley, spinderella, they're in South Burlington, Vermont - a state McCain doesn't have a prayer of carrying in November.

The only one pretending here is you, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

"His own Party hates him almost as much as they hate Hillary and the way things are goin' they won't even have Hillary Hatred to get them to the polls and if that happens, it's a landslide and they're truly toast."

Whether it's Clinton or Obama against McCain, the general election could go either way, and it aint gonna be a landslide for either side.

I hope the Dems win, but it aint gonna be a landslide, little fella.

I always find it interesting that the Dems, the supposed party of political correctness, tolerance, free speech and acceptance of all, are actually the most intolerant of differences. Characters like Colby, Coop, etc. routinely show you they are close-minded, intolerant thugs who choose to shout down opposing views rather than embrace them. I find it even more interesting that if the country really echos these viewpoints why the projections for the Presidential election are as close as they are. If you believed JW had his finger on the pulse, the Dims would be up far more than the 7 or 8% polls say they are. It should be a walk in the park. Maybe the values of the mainstream are a little different than the great minds like Coop say they are.

There is hope yet.

Don't be mislead by the values, or lack thereof, of the flatlander, trustfunder, left-wing, America-hating scum that has infested Vermont to the point of now being in the majority. The real Vermonters obviously are now a minority, but compared to the rest of the US Vermont is only a blip on the radar screen. Once the love-fest is over with Barack Hussein Obama and he is revealed to be nothing more than a corrupt, mindless, empty suit that can't even condescend to wear a tiny American flag on his lapel, then the REAL games start! We are NOT ready to turn our nation over to one that can't even explain his beliefs or what he thinks about defending our country against his muslim brothers and sisters!

"Characters like Colby, Coop, etc. routinely show you they are close-minded, intolerant thugs"

1. First off, Bubba, you yourself are not tolerant.

2. Second, Colby is absolutely, positively not a Democrat.

3. Third, jw is not anything, except a complete maniac.

Without picking on (or defending) Bubba's points of view, I think what you hear and see is the frustations shared by most main stream Americans. The Hollywood elitist, the media and far left wingers like George Soros have waged a campaign to abandon many of the values that has made our country great. We need change but change consistent with the mainstream values of our country.

GW didn't get the job done but Barack isn't offering anything of substance. It's time for some good old fashion common sense to be injected back into the system.

Leave Colby out of this. And it's Berkeley.

thanks.

It was George W. Bush "leading" the
country not George Soros. Time to give the other side a chance.

Yeah, all 30 percent of ya.

First of all, little fella, simple arithmetic lays waste to your ridiculous contention that you're mainstream. You coalition of the clueless clowns constitute the lunatic fringe. You're no more mainstream than timothy mcveigh or the Klan.

Secondly, I've seen no evidence that you're even capable of thought and attempting to excuse and defend bubba's brain-dead dreck is all the likes of you and the rest of bubba's little anonymous nitwit amen corner ever do.

Of course, given the fact that ya got bupkis and reality, history, the law and the facts are against ya, it's not like you've got much to work with.

"The Hollywood elitist, the media and far left wingers like George Soros have waged a campaign to abandon many of the values that has made our country great."

Such as? That's what I thought.

Where do you loons dredge up this dreck and why do ya bother.

Either get some facts, some evidence and some new jokes or take your bogus fixed news talking points, hit the bricks and tell your story walkin', little fella.

Hollywood didn't claim Saddam had wmd, cook the intel and lie us into a war that never should have been authorized, we have no business being in and has killed or maimed upwards of 40 thousand or so US Troops along with 300-500 thousand Iraqis while adding a trillion or so to the National Debt, Bush did.

Oy, and enough with this meshuggah anti-George Soros slop, already.

George Soros has been an American Citizen since 1961. He's got as much right to voice his opinion as Rupert Murdoch, billo and the lunatic-fringe likes of you do, little fella, so cut the crap, deal with it and stuff a sock in it.

The difference is he's got reality history, the law and the facts on his side.

You, conversely, got bupkis and bigotry. Big difference.

The biggest threat to this Country and the values that made it great are the illegitimate clown in the White House and his Un-American supporters.

"We need change but change consistent with the mainstream values of our country."

In other words, you want the 70 percent of the American People who think this clown, his supporters and his policies are the worst thing to happen to this Country since the Depression, Pearl Harbor, McCarthyism, Vietnam, Watergate, Iran Contra and read my lips, no new taxes and the rest of the gop-slop gifts that keep on giving to roll over for the 30 percent of the Country still ignorant, ill-informed and Un-American enough to buy shrub's act.

Not a chance.

"GW didn't get the job done but Barack isn't offering anything of substance. It's time for some good old fashion common sense to be injected back into the system."

In other words, you McCainiacs wanna stick with what's not working and stay in Iraq for another 100 years.

No sale.

"GW didn't get the job done, but..", eh?

That's a good one.

That's right up there with in retrospect, perhaps the Fuhrer was a bit harsh with the Jews.

Dismissed.

Sure ya did, bubble boy. Your word is good enough for me.

Ya got bupkis, bubble boy.

Without evidence, your word is as worthless, as your claims that I dodged the draft, little fella.

You're just another Nintendo nitwit until proven otherwise, sport.

Dismissed.

Dismissed.

You got called on falsely accusing somebody of not serving in the military and, to deflect, this is your response?

I did, eh? When? Where? How?

Bubbles calls me a draft dodger and says he did a tour and that's your idea of me gettin' caught makin' false accusations?

Gee, I hate to further confuse ya with the facts, little fella, but let's review them anyway.

That's your idea of getting caught makin' false accusations, little fella?

The only one makin' false accusations here is your sorry butt, little fella.

If you wanna kiss his ignorant butt and be bubble boy's anonymous amen corner, suit yourself, but if you're gonna come after me with false accusations ya better come armed with something better than your usual bupkis, little fella.

Ya follow?

Yup.
