clinton on TV in VT

As part of Hillary Clinton's push to win Vermont, her campaign will air an ad. Here's the link.

And here's the transcript, in case you are in a hurry to see her message.

Clinton: In this troubled economy…

How can so many millions of people…

…simply not be heard?

Well, I hear you.

You’re asking for healthcare that covers everyone.

Protection from losing your home

You would like to fill your tank without draining your wallet

And give your kids the future they deserve

If I am your president, I will bring more than 35 years of experience to the White House.

I will bring your voice.

Announcer: It’s about People.

Clinton: I’m Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.

-- Nancy Remsen

Comments:
I hear you ...

You want to support continued American combat enrollment in Iraq

You want to expand the war to Iran

You want to have more trade agreements like NAFTA

You want your president's campaign to be funded by K Street lobbyists.

I am your voice in Washington.

She'll either make a perfectly good VP, or she'll continue to be a fine Senator from the State of New York.

From the sound of things, McCain might have his hands full in the days and weeks to come.

Gee, that's a shame.

Yeah, she'll do O.K. She and her grifter husband will always be able to shill some con job on unsuspecting rubes. Maybe it's time to dust off her "southern" accent and head back to Arkansas, where Willie can regale the simple folk about how he "remembers" the black church burnings, 'bout how he had that big house in Harlem for a while, hey, pretty soon they'll be back in business again!

bubba has left a new comment on the post "clinton on TV in VT":

"

Apart from the fact that she'll do, OK, bigot boy, where's your offer of proof for any or all of your latest load of racist rubbish and ignorant slop?

I remember your organization bombing and burning Black churches in the 60s, too. You gonna try and tell me that didn't happen, little fella. It's not like you klanscum not to take credit for your work,

That's what I thought.

So, what's new in white supremacist land, little fella? Did they send ya your new stars and bars yet, boy blunder?

Dismissed.

It's like a prom for idiots.

We have our idiot prom Queen, Bubba and our idiot prom King, JWCOOP !!

What a cute couple!

You keep throwing the word "IDIOT" around, but I don't think it's funny.

JW and Bubba might have developmental disabilities but that's no reason for anyone to call them names.

These two are very brave for getting on the internet and trying to communicate despite their very serious mental challenges.

Ya gotta love that nameless-nitwit take on things.

And the arrogance of it.

It's nice to hear someone standing up for JW.

He isn't an "idiot". He is special.

I just hope that there are people in the community who are there to care for him and to help him out.

JW should know that there are services available for "special" people like him.

This must be some of that serious discussion you're always claiming to engage in when I'm not keeping you and the bubble boy from it, little fella.

Finally! Someone standing up for people with special needs!

Great to see!!

So much for "compassionate conservatism."

The compassionate conservatives have turned their backs on people like Bubba and JW.

But luckily there are still folks in the community willing to assist people with special needs.

"The compassionate conservatives have turned their backs on people like Bubba and JW."

They have, eh? Bummer. I'm gonna miss those nameless-nitwits. Both of ya.

"But luckily there are still folks in the community willing to assist people with special needs."

Good. Get 'em to hook ya up with something to say and a little something to back it up with, little fella.

Dismissed.

See? You can talk about how "special" he is but he's still just a retard.

Now JW, I'm on your side. I have such tremendous respect for special people (like you) who work to overcome tremendous obstacales.

You try and use grown up words and you even try to use the computer! Good for you!

We shouldn't call people with mental challenges "retards". You have "different abilities".

We should all give JW and Bubba special kudos for how special they are.

"You use grown up words..." And you attempt to do the same but your spelling is sadly deficient.

Senator Clinton (WATCH a replay of debates in Austin) clearly is in command of the job.

She is the bionic candidate

I am a Vermonter living in California. I'm quite distressed that my fellow Vermonters would fall for the empty rhetoric of Senator Obama. The Vermonters I know can see right through style, and vote for substance. I'm really shocked that there aren't more Clinton supporters out there.

Senator Obama has 2 years as a Junior senator, and his speeches sound like something at a Baptist church revivalist meeting. His marketing machine is very very good, and his volunteers are instructed not to dwell on policy when discussing him, but stress "faith" and "emotion".

I ask you to rethink this overwhelming support for a man that has no substance, and take a moment to do something historic---vote for the first woman president.

Clinton's finances have mirrored those of Henry Cisneros (Bill's Sec of HUD).Cisneros has made large profits from companies involved with subprime mortgages including Countrywide.
As foreclosures and bankruptcies mount is it any wonder she wants to keep her income hidden.

As for caring and leadership-

Clinton would make a great caring Commander-in-Chief...
Her forces withstood subzero temperatures in Wisconsin-standing in lines, sometimes for hours-enduring physical stresses and pain.
She never offered a word of public thanks- she ignored her troops in Wisconsin just as she had abandoned her forces in Maryland and Virginia.
So much for caring,so much for Commander-in-Chief,so much for leadership.

And your evidence of this is.....?

That's what I thought.

You sure can lie, cope.

Dismissed.

On December 1997 Henry Cisneros was indicted on 18 counts of conspiracy, giving false statements and obstruction of justice. His mistress, Linda Medlar, pleaded guilty to 28 charges of bank fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and obstruction of justice. Cisneros, like fugitive financier Mark Rich and other Clinton-era democrat criminals, was pardoned by Slick Willie in January of 2001. Just another Clinton-era crook.

Why no mention of McCain's three messes, Bubba?

And what was McCain indicted for?

I thought so.

Yeah, another alleged "Clinton-era crook" not named Clinton. Funny, how they all have that in common, spinderella.

In other words, ya got bupkis.

18 counts, eh, spinderella. Did they get him on all 18 counts, little fella?

That's what I thought.

Nice try, nitwit. If there were any guilty verdicts, spindy, why didn't you mention them?

That's what I thought.

For the record, Scooter Libby was the lawyer negotiating the terms of the pardon for Mark Rich, little fella.

Clinton was wrong to pardon Rich. He should have just left it for Bush do it for Scooter.

Scooter, you'll recall, actually was convicted by a jury of his peers on 4 of 5 counts in a trial presided over by a gop Judge and a gop prosecutor, little fella.

Unlike you, little fella, I've actually got some evidence to substantiate my assertions. Not that it helps you any, little fella, but did ya notice how evidence is never hard to find when you've got the law and the facts on your side?

Well, if you're ever in a position to benefit from the law and the facts, I'm sure you'll notice.

Knock yourself out, punk.

I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby (born August 22, 1950) is a former Assistant to the President of the United States, George W. Bush, Chief of Staff to the Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney, and Assistant to the Vice President for National Security Affairs, serving from 2001 to 2005.[1][2] He resigned all three government positions immediately after he was indicted on federal obstruction and perjury charges resulting from the grand jury investigation into the CIA identity leak known as the Plame Affair, which led to his criminal trial in United States v. Libby.[2][3] The day after his conviction in that trial, he resigned his later appointment as senior advisor at the Hudson Institute (January 1, 2006 – March 7, 2007).[4][5]

In United States v. Libby, the jury convicted Libby on four of the five counts in the indictment: one count of obstruction of justice; two counts of perjury; and one count of making false statements to federal investigators.[6] Libby is "the highest-ranking White House official convicted in a government scandal since National Security Adviser John Poindexter in the Iran-Contra affair two decades ago."[7][8]

The presiding trial judge, Reggie B. Walton, sentenced Libby to 30 months in federal prison, a fine of $250,000, and two years of supervised release, including 400 hours of community service,[9][10][11][12] and then ordered Libby to begin his sentence immediately.[13] When Libby's appeal of Judge Walton's order failed, President Bush commuted Libby's 30-month prison sentence, leaving the other parts of his sentence intact.[14][15] In commuting Libby's prison term, Bush stated: "I am commuting the portion of Mr. Libby's sentence that required him to spend thirty months in prison. ... My decision to commute his prison sentence leaves in place a harsh punishment for Mr. Libby. The reputation he gained through his years of public service and professional work in the legal community is forever damaged."[14] After Libby paid his monetary fine and penalty totaling $250,400, Judge Walton queried aspects of the presidential commutation,[12][16] and lawyers filed their briefs supporting Libby's serving supervised release, resolving the issue and thus clearing the way for Libby to begin the rest of his sentence, the two years of supervised release and 400 hours of community service.[17][18]

President Bush's commutation of Libby's prison sentence became the subject of a hearing on "The Use and Misuse of Presidential Clemency Power for Executive Branch Officials" held by the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Representative John Conyers, Jr., on July 11, 2007.[19][20][21][22] On December 10, 2007, Libby's lawyers announced that he would drop his appeal of his conviction in "the CIA leak case," leaving intact his remaining sentence and fine and leaving on his record his felony convictions (unless he is granted a full pardon by President Bush).[23] The next day, December 11, 2007, President Bush issued 29 pardons but did not include Libby among them.[24][25]

Hmmm, either do I, little independent-of-all-fact-and- reason, VTer.

Moreover, I don't think much of your factually-challenged, evidence-free, superficial analysis, either, Indy.

"Political insiders can nitpick at Douglas, but I think the average Vermonter perceives him as an honest man, whatever his faults."

So, "political insiders" aka people armed with facts and evidence who know what the hell they're talking about can carve him up like a jimbo-lantern, but "average VTers" - like you for example - will be happy to give him a free pass 'cause you "think" his heart is in the right place and he means well.

Let me put this as tactfully as possible. I don't give a damn how you "think" the average Vermonter "perceives" Jim Douglas, little fella. All that tells me is that you've got no factual basis for your opinion but you're not gonna let that stand in your way.

Those facts were never in dispute, Indy.

"He should have just left it for Bush do it for Scooter."

?

"a gop Judge"

At the federal level at least, where judges do not get elected, there is no such thing as a "gop" judge or a "dem" judge. There's only "judge."

jw, you confused psycho, this typically gratuitously insulting post of your is posted -- once again -- on the wrong thread. The posting you are responding to was posted on "It's Getting Hotter Under the Dome," on 2/22 at 6:25 p.m.

You confused dolt. The subject of your posting has nothing to do with the subject of this thread and is not responding to anything on this thread.

Take your meds.

Seeing as how Mark Rich was pardoned because (1) his wife was "visiting" Slick Willie at night, and (2) they paid off the pardon with millions donated to Bill's "library" I don't really see why Bush would ever have pardoned him, do you, little weasel? And compared to ANYTHING involving "Scooter", this is like comparing first-degree murder to a parking ticket. Getting kind of hard to find accurate comparisons anymore, hey, "little fella"?

Lying under oath and obstruction of justice are comparable to a parking ticket? Only in a Bush/GOP dominated world.

Actually, it's only in a bubbles and his bupkis boys alternative reality they delusionally "think" constitutes the thinking of average Vermonters despite their lack of supporting evidence and all evidence to the contrary.

"He should have just left it for Bush do it for Scooter."

This is a sentence only on Planet JW.

Being a Californian I cannot understand the mentality of someone like jwcoop - someone needs to intervene on his behalf.

Vermonters do not understand the mentality of jwcoop... we share your sense of puzzlement and concern.

Do you need me to translate it to ignorant, ill-informed, white-supremacist scum-speak for ya, little fella?

WOW...quite eloquent

Well, if ya ever have occasion to meet any Vermonters, we'll be happy to explain it to ya, little fella.

We're the ones who elected Peter Welch, moved Bernie to the Senate and keep sending Pat Leahy back to Chair the Senate Judiciary to pull the plug on Gonzo and make sure no more neo-nazi nitwits make it to the Supreme Court.

You're the nameless nitwits who don't.

In other words, we're the vast majority of the State of Vermont.

You're not.

We're the ones who put both Chambers of the Vermont Legislature solidly in Democratic hands to ride herd on the jimi douglas experience.

You're the nameless nitwits who don't.

We're the ones who give a damn about this State and this Country.

You're the nameless nitwits who don't.

Let me know if I'm goin' too fast for ya, little fella?

Once ya get the hang of this, we can get crackin' on all the other stuff ya don't understand, little fella.

Whether shrub funds it or not and he won't 'cause he never has, we leave no child left behind here.

"Whether shrub funds it or not and he won't 'cause he never has, we leave no child left behind here."

After reading this little beauty, perhaps, it was only you that was left behind.

And just for the record, you are not a Vermonter...merely an imported carpetbagging VT wannabe.

Glad ya liked it, little factually-challenged, fundamentally-dishonest fella. Your ignorant, ill-informed and utterly-psychotic opinion means a lot to me.

Not as much as those of my fellow Vermonters, of course, but as nameless-nitwit, red-state rubbish goes, you do have a certain value of sorts as a reverse barometer.

Ya got yourself a certain Captain Wrong way Peach-fuzz thing goin' on, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

"He should have just left it for Bush do it for Scooter."

No matter how many times you defensively yell, scream, and whine, it's still not a sentence.

"We're the ones who put both Chambers of the Vermont Legislature solidly in Democratic hands to ride herd on the jimi douglas experience"

Ya, guess that worked out with the veto overrides last June, eh, little fella?

So just what major legislative accomplishments have Gaye and Peter put over on Douglas, little fella?

That's what I thought.

"Ride herd"? That's a pathetic joke.

"Not as much as those of my fellow Vermonters"

You speak for Vermonters, eh? Nice try. Vermonters don't engage in this kind of intolerant, abusive, profane, anti-social behavior:
