Republican U.S. Sen. John McCain took some tough questions this morning from Concord High School students on the question of his age. (71) According to an Assoicated Press report, here's what one student asked.
“If elected, you’d be older than Ronald Reagan, making you the oldest president. Do you ever worry you might die in office or get Alzheimer’s or some other disease that might affect your judgment?”Do voters think about age when looking at the field of presidential candidates? Is the public contradictory in what it is looking for in candidates -- someone with plenty of "experience" but not too old?
Or was this just a kids' view of a candidate who with his white hair may have appeared more like a grandfather than presidential material?
