If it sticks

I saw my first Gore-Obama bumper sticker on my way to work today. Is this a case of if we build the bumper sticker, they will come?

- Terri Hallenbeck

Comments:
Possibly, but considering how the quantity of bumper stickers on one's vehicle is corollary to the inverse of one's IQ, I very much doubt it.

these two aren't a good match because they appeal to the same type of person. both are liberal, feel-good types. better to have the ticket made up of candidates that appeal to different sets of voters.

How about the Odum-Kucinich ticket? This might help to move John Odum to Ohio or back to his home in Kentucky (as one of these states would be the logical place for campaign HQ). The VNRC PAC would be able to provide some funding, I'm sure.

Hell - and just about every real Vermonter would be willing to chip in a buck or two.

You won't see any Fred Thompson / Rudy Giuliani bumper stickers in Vermont, but they are the most likely pair to be sworn in as President and Vice President on January 20, 2009. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama can enjoy the view from the Senators' section at the inauguration.

Fred who?

Guiliani ought to be on his 7th wife by then...

How about a Bloomberg/Giuliani ticket?

Yeah. This is the year "good Christian values" get tossed out the door by the right-wing contingent. Giuliani and his divorces, Gingrich and his divorces (and kiss-off to cancer-stricken wife, Thompson's 30-plus year younger wife, etc.etc. The Dem field actually holds up better from a moral perspective.

Gore/Obama eh? Could I substitute a Laurel/Hardy b-sticker instead.

How about a Sanders/Diamondstone ticket?

No, Sanders was too radical for the Liberty Union party - they threw him overboard a long time ago. No love lost there.

Obama has already stated that he would not do VP..

Well - Gore certainly has the experience and apparently Giuliani will do anything.

In many countries it is common for the chief executive of the biggest city (Paris, Berlin, etc.) to become President or Prime Minister. We could do well by following that example here. Giuliani or Bloomberg have more managerial experience and savvy in their pinky fingers than that ridiculous hick from Texas has in his entire body.

Giuliani sez, "I'm for abortion ... no, I'm against it ... wait, wait ... I'm for it ... I mean ... is this Tuesday or Wednesday?"

Fair enough. He has equivocated on that subject. But in a civilized country -- i.e., one not dominated by religious righties who don't believe in church-state separation -- he wouldn't even have to answer that question. Hmm . . . Sort of like our own version of the Islamic fundamentalists we like to hate so much.

in other words - He only waffles on the questions that you don't think that he should answer.

With so many people who want to take away a woman's right to choose, why wouldn't he have to answer that question??

Richardson all the way.
