Sanders' victory tour

Senator-elect Bernie Sanders is going on tour around Vermont to thank voters for their support and to discuss the state's priorities.

If blog readers can be predicted, my posting of this information allows you to have the usual contentious give-and-take about whether Sanders is a) the best thing ever or b) the worst thing ever, along with whether Election Day opponent Rich Tarrant is a) the best thing ever or b) the worst thing ever.

Nothing gets blog-reader response like the mention of the words Sanders and Tarrant. Sorry, I'm feeling overly cynical today. Here's Sanders' tour schedule:

Comments:
Tarrant who ??

Wasn't that debate settled on election day?

I think you're stuck on Nov. 7th Terri.

BTW, Sanders isn't the worst "thing" (?) ever, he's just useless.

Enough already, Bernie. Stop campaigning.

Stop campaigning??

Just because the election is over, doesn't mean that he should stop meeting with Vermonters.

So, now it's time for him to get to DC and scream about the Demicans and Republicrats, right? Kiss that goodbye. It's not the Bernie Send-off Tour, it's the Bernie Write-off Tour.

Such anger.

You should try and relax a little. The election's over.

Loosen up. Try and enjoy life.

Bernie's a joke. He'll make Vermont look like a bunch of yahoos for voting for him. He'll stand in the Senate chamber, screaming and yelling, waving his hands yelling:

"It's wrong Mr. President, It's Wrong!"

He'll do the same thing that he did from '92 - '06: Nothing.

We had an opportunity to elect someone who would actually do something. Now, we got Comrade Bernie.

You should really see someone about your anger issues.

It isn't any fun living with such hatred inside of yourself.

voters should watch Bernie
closely

Voters should watch all elected officials closely.

Vermonters have been watching Bernie closely for over 16 years.

Jon Stewart was right, Vermont somehow managed to become even less relevant than it was.

"Vermonters have been watching Bernie closely for over 16 years."

Then why can't any of them tell me which bills he's written over the course of those 16 years have become law?

I'm not sure how Vermont would become more relevent by electing someone like Tarrant (and Welch for that matter) who'd go to Washington and blend in with the wallpaper.

Yeah, being taken seriously as an adult is such an impediment to getting things done in Washington.
