Senate debate

U.S. Senate candidates Rich Tarrant and Bernie Sanders will be debating this afternoon at the VFW in Burlington. You can't go to the debate unless you're a veteran or related to one (and even then you'd have to drop everything and bolt out the door right now because it starts at 2 p.m.), but there are numerous opportunities to catch the debate over airwaves.

The debate will be aired on WDEV AM (550AM), WDEV FM (96.1FM) and WJOY (1230AM), plus on the world wide web. If that's not enough for you, Channel 17 is taping it for later broadcast on TV and online.

I thought that he'd gone back to Florida already.

Bernie totally destroyed Tarrant in the debate today.

Tarrant said that Fletcher Allen's management team lied to the board, and, as a result, it wasn't his fault that he voted in favor of their project. Bernie said that if Tarrant couldn't ask the right questions to detect managment's lies, there was no way he could notice that Bush was lying on subjects like Iraq.

Bernie won today. Big time.

Ironic that Bernie bemoans waiting lists at VA hospitals - that's what we'd see at EVERY hospital under his "health care plan" (using the term very loosely).

And can't someone get this guy a mirror before these debates? He looked like he just climbed out of a dumpster at the end of a three day bender. Is this part of his schtick?

Tarrant lied during the debate.

He said that IDX was installed at every hospital in London. That's simply not true. In fact, the only hospital that currently has IDX installed announced that it is removing the system!

Tarrant was not a good businessman. He is a legend in his own mind.
