Dean and the DNC, part II

I stand corrected, I think.

Damien LaVera, a regional press secretary for the Democratic National Committee, called to say former Vt. Gov. Howard Dean won't be out of a job as DNC chairman when (and it's only a matter of time now) Barack Obama clinches the party's presidential nomination.

In a blog entry a few days ago, I flagged an AP article that said Obama's folks are already in negotiations to put their people in charge of the DNC once the nomination is secure, as nominees are inclined to do in order to better coordinate the party's national committee with the candidate's national campaign. I made note that AP had reported that Obama strategist Paul Tewes was "in discussions to run the party."

LaVera says that doesn't mean what it sounds like it means. Instead, while Tewes or other Obama loyalists may be plugged into the DNC apparatus, Dean himself will not be repleaced. Dean wants and plans to stay on through the November election and, says LaVera, that's what will happen .

Yeah, right! Sure you can keep your job Howie! Just try not to say anything stupid and keep out of the way. We're gonna have a nice ambassadorship for you come December. How's Uzbekistan sound, little fella?

Dean suffers from the "Rodney Dangerfield" syndrome, "I get no respect". He brings it on himself- he is a minor leaguer trying to make it in the big leagues. He should stay home (NY, not VT)

Howierd has been so useless, he should go home to Judy.

The Republicans will Keep talking trash ... but they are a lot worse off now than they were when Dean took charge of the DNC.

The Democrats have got their own problems - especially the ones in Vermont.

Say what you want Bubba - Howard's 50 state strategy has allowed the Dems to regain the majority in the US House, the US Senate, and several state legislatures most notably NH!

Give Howard credit!

Howard's 50 state state strategy was laughed at by Bill & Hilary, James Carville, Terry McAuliff, Fox News and most of the rest of the conservatives.

Additionally, the Dems picked up 3 Congressional seats recently - and these 3 seats were controlled by the GOP for quite a while!

Both the US House and US Senate have Democratic majorities which are expected to increase during this election cycle!

Even the NH legislature (both House and Senate) turned Democratic for the first time in 2006 with an incumbent Democratic Governor!

Howard may not be your pick but he is 3 times the Governor that Jim Douglas ever dreamed of being!

Maybe Howard could come back to Vermont and revitalize the D's here. It seems that here every opportunity the D's get they shoot themselves in the foot. Compromise and Compromise; and then they tell us we need new leadership. Yeah, we need new leadership in the State House both in the Gov's office and the House...

If Howard ran for Governor again - in a head to head with Douglas - Howard would win easily!

I think it would be great but I really doubt Howard would run for Governor again!

No - I think Vermonters are generally a reasonable, forward thinking people who elect those they believe really represent them and will steer the state in the direction that they want.

In a heartbeat. The sooner the curtain comes down on the doogie/dubie debacle, the better.

It would be a pleasure to restore competence to the Governor's Chair just as it would be a pleasure to show doogie the door.

Dismissed.

What?
darn! Thought the "deaniac" was on the Mars lander.
Woodbug

Article in today's Freeps about what happens if the legislature has to choose the next guv. Douglas opposes the "popular" vote so screw him, but these spineless f's will hand it to him on a silver platter. Illuzzi doesn't think the legislature should decide, well la de f'ing da Vince. Speaking of spineless.

"Dean suffers from the "Rodney Dangerfield" syndrome, "I get no respect"....."

Another day, another load of nitwit NEK nonsense. Gee, what are the odds.

Apart from the fact that you're takin' Saint Rodney's name in vain, just where in the article cited is Dean crying that he gets no respect, nitwit?

That's what I thought.

Hey, ya bring it on yourself, little factually-challenged fella when you spew that gop-goo that you spew so well.

Dean's 50-State Strategy worked and the State Parties love him by all accounts. His comments upon Saddam's capture that we were less safe than we were when he was in power have proved to be right on the money as one bush/gop lie/ media cover up/gop fraud after another been indicted, convicted and sentenced to prison as the truth has come to light.

Under his leadership, Vermont came through the tough times brought on by the First Bush recession the Dems and exacerbated by a gop legislature through the good times of the late '90s and turn of the Century while thumping gop trash like Clueless McClaughry, Ruth Dwyer and her take back Vermont-trash band of ignorant bigots in the process along the way until leaving office in 1/03 as the longest-serving Governor in modern Vermont History.

Since then, the Doogie/Dubie Debacle has been plunging Vermont into desolation, darkness and despair despite the best efforts of an increasingly Democratic State Legislature and US Congress to stem the tide and the descent of Vermont and the Country into decline, deficit and despair and Dean's been vindicated at every turn.

That said, thanks, as always, for your factually-challenged, ignorant-trash perspective, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

Dismissed.

Let me see....since we have not been attacked since Saddam's overthrow that means (in the left-wing disneyworld of jw)that we are LESS safe! I guess it follows that because Osama is still on the loose that we are MORE safe! And of course now that Al-Quida is collapsing, we must again be LESS safe! If we had only left Hitler and Tojo alone back in the early forties, we would have been MORE safe, because by fighting them, we ENCOURAGED MORE PEOPLE to fight us. In the immortal words of little Howie, Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Nice try, little fella. Remind me again what role Saddam played in 9/11, little bubble boy.

That's what I thought.

What a factually-challenged/fundamentally-dishonest/utterly-psychotic pile of UnAmerican horsebrit you are, schmuck.

"I guess it follows that because Osama is still on the loose that we are MORE safe!"

Actually, since he actually had something to do with 9/11, no, it doesn't and we're not, nitwit.

"And of course now that Al-Quida is collapsing, we must again be LESS safe!"

First of all, there was no al qaeda in Iraq before Bush lied us into war there, little fella, and even at that, they've never been more than 2-3 percent of the people fightin' us.

Secondly, are Iraq casualties up or down since we caught and executed Saddam, little factually-challenged fella?

That's what I thought.

"If we had only left Hitler and Tojo alone back in the early forties, we would have been MORE safe, because by fighting them, we ENCOURAGED MORE PEOPLE to fight us."

So you keep saying, little Anti-American bigot boy, and I'm still not buyin' it.

You've been shillin' that psychotic gop-slop "school of thought" for the better part of 8 months when you first told me that Japan and Hitler posed no threat to the US and FDR forced the Japanese to attack Pearl Harbor and Hitler to declare war on us a day or so later to get us out of the Depression he had us mired in for over a decade.

No sale, schmuck.

I didn't buy it then and I'm not buyin' it now.

Hop the rat line and take your treasonous trash and factually-challenged revisionist history to Argentina with the rest of the fugitive nazi war criminals, little bigot boy.

The sooner Vermont and the US see the back of the ignorant-trash likes of you, the better.

Always a pleasure.

Dismissed.

Dumb and Dumberer return.

How about some comments from someone intelligent and interesting.

Bubba ---

You never cease to amaze me - when people dispute your inaccuracies with fact, you conjure up new mistruths!

Or you attack someone - anyone - as long as its a dem!

yawn

Jimmy Douglas opposes the popular vote for determining election winners, but I'm sure he'll accept the legislature's coronation if he can't pull more than 50 percent in November and the legislature hands it to him anyway. For once in your lives, dare to upset the apple cart and, if Jimmy D. can't pull the 50+, give it to Symington or Pollina. Make Douglas eat his sanctimonious words. Make him have to get a job for once in his charmed life.

8:08 post - not sure what "facts" you refer to. You mean jw's "facts" that we are less safe than prior to 9/11? As far as I know, no terrorist attack has occured in this country since 9/11. Now THAT is a FACT!

"8:08 post - not sure what "facts" you refer to."

The real ones.

"You mean jw's "facts" that we are less safe than prior to 9/11? As far as I know, no terrorist attack has occured in this country since 9/11. Now THAT is a FACT!"

No, actually, it's not.

Ya mean, besides the still-unsolved Anthrax Attacks that started on 9/18/01, little bigot boy?

Oy Gevalt! How many times is your ignorant, anti-American ass gonna make the same unforced error, schmuck! It's not the first time you've made that mistake, ya meshuggah mutt and I'm just as certain it won't be the last as I was the last time ya made it, bubblehead.

If you coalition of the clueless cretins are gonna keep slittin' your own throat, diggin' your graves, fallin' in and pullin' the dirt in behind ya, I might as well go ahead and mow the lawn before the skies open up.

If ya can't get me out of that, what the hell good are ya.

You do realize, don't you, that that is a rhetorical question, don't you?

Look it up. Learn something.

Again, I hate to confuse your ignorant ass with the facts, little factually-challenged fella, but 9/11/01 took place before 9/18/01.

Moreover, I'm quite certain it wasn't a quirk of the calendar that particular year or a plot on the part of the so-called liberal media to make Bush look like an idiot.

Like you, auntie amerika and the rest of your coalition of the clueless cretin compatriots, he doesn't need any help to look like an UnAmerican, ignorant-trash, lyin'-slime, chicken-hawk schmuck.

The senseless, stoneless lot of ya just plain don't know what the fook you're talkin' about on an infinite array of subjects.

Then again, you've certainly provided no evidence that ya ever did.

Now that is a fact, little fella.

Always a pleasure.

Gee, is your ignorant anonymous ass gonna tell me ya coined the word "yawn" now, too, little factually-challenged fella?

Get yourself some new psychotic gop slop to spew, schmuck.

Always a pleasure.
