Cat fight

Rep. Robert Dostis is already trying to win back the cat vote.

It all started with Dostis, chairman of the House Natural Resources and Energy Committee, was responding last week to a comment Gov. Douglas made:
"You will have the birds and bats being killed by the blades falling down on
you while you try to hike," Douglas said.

Dostis likes wind turbines much better than Douglas does. He responded that cats kill way more birds than wind turbines do, leaving one to wonder what kind of cats per turbine trade-off he was proposing.

The next day, Dostis was carrying a photo of a tabby wearing a "Cats for Dostis" campaign button on its collar. That's bound to bring in more votes than a "Turbines for Dostis" campaign.

The Douglas quote sounds like something Ronald Reagan would say. Actually, the Gipper did say that "trees cause more pollution than automobiles do."

Actually, you are a liar. Reagan never said that, but perhaps you can give us doubters a reference.

Regan did say that.

Do a Google search, Bubba. You'll find plenty or reliable references.

You do know how to use Google, don't you?

His quote, Miss Nancy, was "Approximately 80% of our air pollution stems from hydrocarbons released by vegetation". Many scientists agree with this. 2003 - University of Helsinki states: "coniferous forests release nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere that combine with other pollutants to form SMOG"!Where do you get your quotes - Out in the Mountains?

Wow, that's a crazy revision of history.

Regan's direct quote was, " "trees cause more pollution than automobiles do."

Next you are going to argue that JFK never said, "ask not what your country can do for you ..."

Who is going to run against Douglas in '08?

Anybody but Douglas
